• Inventory: There are 1,010 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.84% compared with last year.

The current average of $37,547 sits slightly below last year's $40,304.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the current softness means resale value will depend heavily on how well your car is maintained and how competitively it is priced when you list it. Strong condition and clean history matter more when the market is already leaning lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW i4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 35.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.84% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $46,971, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,547 average.
• It adds a new infotainment system and Plug & Charge convenience.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines lower pricing with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you want the newer model's updated tech and are willing to pay more, the 2025 is the better fit. Price-sensitive buyers should start with the 2024 and focus on clean, well-priced listings.
