What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X7?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re serious about, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the suspension, electronics, and interior condition carefully. Because this is a premium three-row SUV, you’ll want to focus on how well the cabin, technology, and wear items have been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X7?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,565 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,694, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X7's resale value?

The current average of $60,694 sits slightly below last year's $69,100.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed some depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less ideal if you’re thinking about future resale. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means your return will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle is equipped. Strong demand for well-kept examples can help, but you should still expect luxury-SUV depreciation to remain a factor.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $52,288, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $60,694 average.
• It brings the refreshed look and newer iDrive system.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $70,856, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $60,694 average.
• It keeps the flagship formula with strong driving dynamics and easy-to-use tech.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2024 is the strongest all-around pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2023 is the better value path, while the 2025 makes sense if you want to spend more for a newer model-year option.
