What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X7?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report to confirm the car’s background and verify that the listing matches the seller’s claims. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with more complex equipment. Focus your condition check on the cabin, technology, and overall maintenance history so you can avoid surprises after purchase.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X7?

Yes — this looks like a buyer-friendly market if you’re shopping carefully.

• Deal availability: 41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,605 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,021, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X7's resale value?

The current average of $62,021 sits slightly below last year's $69,517.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can be helpful if you’re buying now but less favorable if you’re planning to sell soon. If you own one for a few years, the biggest resale challenge is likely to be continued value loss rather than weak demand. Strong condition, clean history, and desirable equipment should matter a lot when it’s time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 41.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.78% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $53,619, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $62,021 average.
• It brings a refreshed look and updated infotainment.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $71,884, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $62,021 average.
• It stays familiar with no major changes.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around pick if you want the strongest mix of value, owner satisfaction, and current-market availability. If your priority is spending less, the 2023 is the smarter price-sensitive alternative, while the 2025 makes sense only if you want to pay more for a newer model-year position.
