Is the 2024 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2024 BMW X6 stands out because it keeps the model’s original coupe-like SUV formula while adding the kind of performance and equipment that make it feel more special than a conventional midsize luxury crossover. BMW describes it as a fastback design based on the X5, and this generation stays close to that original idea with a lowered stance, aggressive body kit, huge wheels, and a sleeker roofline.

For 2024, it also gained updated lighting with sequential turn signals, new fascias and bumpers, new wheels, more power for the xDrive40i, and an optional Highway Assistant for hands-free driving. That makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with a more dramatic shape, strong powertrains, and a long list of upscale technology and performance features.

37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2024 BMW X6 stands out because it combines a strong feature set with a well-equipped, performance-focused layout. Standard equipment includes two 12.3-inch displays running iDrive 7, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, blind-spot monitors, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, a panoramic moonroof, and heated front seats.

It also offers adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, four-corner air suspension on all-wheel drive trims, and an Off-Road Package that can raise the car by 1.6 inches on the xDrive40i. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that the X6’s style-first packaging can make upkeep and repair decisions more important than they would be in a more conventional SUV.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or inconsistent panel fit. Because the X6 is a style-first luxury SUV, pay extra attention to condition, maintenance records, and how well the interior and exterior have held up.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 480 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,085, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $62,085 sits slightly below last year's $70,169.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. If you plan to sell later, the X6’s resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean history and strong documentation should matter more than usual because shoppers in this segment tend to be selective.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 37.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.52% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best choice if you want the refreshed look, updated lighting, more power for the xDrive40i, and the strongest mix of current-market value and inventory. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you should compare condition and history carefully before giving up the 2024’s update package.
