Is the 2024 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2024 BMW X6 stands out because it keeps the model’s original coupe-like SUV formula while adding the kind of performance and equipment that make it feel more special than a conventional midsize luxury crossover. BMW describes the X6 as a fastback design based on the X5, and this generation is the most like the original in its lowered stance, aggressive body kit, huge wheels, and sleeker roofline.

For 2024, it also received updated lighting with sequential turn signals, new fascias and bumpers, new wheels, more power for the xDrive40i, and an optional Highway Assistant for hands-free driving. It is a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV with a more dramatic shape, strong powertrains, and a long list of upscale technology and performance features.

34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2024 BMW X6 emphasizes upscale hardware and a broad feature set, including standard driver-assistance and comfort equipment, which should help it feel well equipped in daily use. Its appeal is strongest if you value its design, strong powertrains, and high level of equipment more than maximum practicality.

For long-term ownership, you should expect a style-first luxury SUV to reward careful maintenance and a close look at condition before you buy.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or repairs that may not show up in photos. Because the X6 trades some practicality for style, pay extra attention to interior condition, cargo-area wear, and whether the equipment and driver-assistance features work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X6?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 496 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $62,195, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $62,199 sits slightly below last year's $70,073.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy with less risk of overpaying today. For a future seller, it also means resale value will likely depend heavily on mileage, condition, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. If you keep the X6 clean and well documented, you should be in a better position to protect value when it is time to sell.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 34.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.24% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better pick if you want the refreshed look, updated lighting, and added power for the xDrive40i. If you are more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may be worth considering, especially if you can find a cleaner example with the equipment you want at a lower asking price.
