How much does the 2024 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 4.86% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,086 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, and its appeal comes from blending luxury SUV practicality with BMW’s sporty driving character. It is positioned as a compact, upscale SUV that is smaller than the X5, more affordable, and still delivers premium features along with agility and driving engagement. That makes it a strong fit if you want an everyday-use SUV that still feels premium and responsive.

Its cabin and equipment help reinforce that value proposition, with BMW’s latest iDrive system, a 14.9-inch touchscreen, wireless smartphone integration, a wireless charger, and useful standard comfort and convenience features. The market also shows 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 X3 is described as a well-rounded premium SUV with strong safety and convenience equipment, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. At the same time, it is still a luxury vehicle, so you should expect higher maintenance and repair costs than you would with similar non-luxury rivals.

For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not just whether the vehicle runs well today, but whether you are prepared for premium-brand upkeep over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X3?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific listing matches the seller’s claims about ownership and accident history. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check the condition of the electronics, interior features, tires, brakes, and any signs of uneven wear.

Because this model is a premium SUV, focus on overall condition and maintenance records as much as mileage. A clean example with documented care is the kind of used X3 that is most likely to reward you.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully rather than rush.

• Deal availability: 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,086 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,592, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $37,861 sits slightly below last year's $39,793.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more favorably now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that holding value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.86% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $45,490, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,861 average.
• The redesign brings a more minimalist cabin and a distinct new look.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the smarter primary path because it combines strong satisfaction, good inventory quality, and a softer price trend. If you are willing to pay more for the redesigned model and its newer styling, the 2025 is the secondary path for buyers who prioritize the latest version over price.
