How much does the 2024 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 6.92% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,982 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and conditions.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2024 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It is described as a compact yet luxurious SUV that blends premium features with agility and driving engagement, while still staying practical for everyday use. The cabin’s technology and equipment help it feel current, and its cargo space adds to its usefulness if you want an upscale SUV that still works well for daily life. 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a meaningful pool of market opportunities.

Is the 2024 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 X3’s overview emphasizes a well-equipped cabin, standard safety and convenience features, and a premium feel that should support confidence in day-to-day ownership. It also notes that the model carries higher maintenance and repair costs than similar non-luxury rivals, so your long-term ownership experience may be more expensive than the purchase price alone suggests. For used buyers, that means reliability may feel reassuring, but budgeting for premium upkeep still matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW X3?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re seriously considering, even when the market looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can check for wear, maintenance gaps, and any signs that premium systems or electronics need attention. Focus especially on overall condition, since a luxury SUV like this can be more expensive to refresh if previous owners deferred upkeep.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW X3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,982 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.92% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,172, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $37,172 sits slightly below last year's $39,935.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now, but it also means future resale gains may be harder to count on in the short term. If you plan to sell later, the current softness could work against you unless you buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition. The X3’s premium positioning and broad appeal should still help it attract shoppers, especially if it remains well maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.92% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $44,840, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $37,172 average.
• The redesign brings a more minimalist cabin and updated technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2024 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for the redesigned model’s newer look and updated feel, the 2025 is the upgrade path; otherwise, the 2024 is the smarter buy for price-sensitive shoppers.
