How much does the 2024 BMW M4 cost?

Prices have softened 4.51% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 349 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2024 BMW M4 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2024 BMW M4 stands out as a high-performance coupe or convertible that blends serious speed with everyday usability, and it offers a twin-turbocharged inline-six, a manual transmission option, and available xDrive on Competition models. It also brings a well-equipped cabin with heated M Sport seats, leather trim, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, so you get performance without giving up modern convenience. With 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2024 BMW M4 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2024 BMW M4 is presented as a focused but usable performance car, with refinement expected from a modern luxury model and equipment that supports daily driving. Its strong value retention also suggests it holds up well in the market over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is paying for a high-performance car without confirming that it has been maintained carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW M4?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still prioritize a full inspection, especially on a performance car where prior use can vary widely from one example to the next. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and signs of hard driving, since those details matter more than mileage alone. A clean history report is a good start, but the car’s overall wear should guide your final decision.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW M4?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 349 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.51% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $75,590, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW M4's resale value?

The current average of $76,733 sits slightly below last year's $80,354.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, the softer trend means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still benefit from the model’s strong enthusiast appeal and premium positioning.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW M4 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.51% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $72,152, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $76,733 average.
• It adds a rare CSL variant for buyers who want a more extreme enthusiast focus.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $90,749, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $76,733 average.
• It adds a light refresh and a slight power bump for Competition xDrive models.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the best all-around choice if you want strong performance, solid equipment, and a market that is a bit easier to shop than last year. If price matters most, the 2023 is the smarter value play; if you want the newest updates and can stretch your budget, the 2025 is the upgrade path.
