Used 2024 BMW 7 Series for Sale near Wisconsin

How much does the 2024 BMW 7 Series cost?

Prices have softened 15.36% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 619 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series a good car?

With a 3.5/5 user rating and a 6.67/10 expert rating, the 2024 BMW 7 Series looks appealing if you want a flagship sedan that mixes luxury, performance, and efficiency. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Safety.

The 7 Series is aimed at buyers who want a spacious, luxurious cabin and powertrain choices that are described as potent and fuel-efficient. The trade-offs are clear: the infotainment system remains frustratingly complicated, the styling is polarizing, and the plug-in hybrid 750e brings a disjointed driving personality. Even so, the car’s standout features, including a rear-seat theatre and cashmere upholstery, give it a strong luxury-car identity.

With 40.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop carefully.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series reliable?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is described as having robust crash structures, and BMW’s active safety systems are said to work smoothly and reliably. The expert evaluation also notes that the car’s electronic warning systems operate unobtrusively and are good at detecting pedestrians and hazards.

That said, the 7 Series is a complex luxury sedan with advanced systems and a highly digital cabin, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is more about complexity than basic durability.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a car with expensive electronics and multiple powertrain choices. Pay close attention to how the infotainment system, driver-assistance features, and powertrain behave in real-world use, since the 7 Series leans heavily on technology and complexity.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin materials and appearance vary widely by trim and option set, with choices ranging from vegan fake leather to Merino leather and Cashmere wool blend, plus features like a rear-seat theater screen and panoramic sunroof. Base versions miss some of the more dramatic luxury touches, so you should compare equipment carefully.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six, a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8, and a plug-in hybrid setup that pairs the six-cylinder with an electric motor and battery pack. The 750e is quick and efficient, but its brake and throttle transitions can feel inconsistent around town.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. Surround view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, automated parking assist, and partially automated active driving assistant with highway assistant cost extra.
• Infotainment: The curved display combines a 12.3-inch driver’s screen with a 14.9-inch infotainment display, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included. The system is touchscreen-heavy, and the software update does not fully solve the complexity.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid is rated at 65 MPGe electric and 25 mpg combined on gas, while the gas models are rated at 28 mpg combined for the 740i and 20 mpg combined for the 760i.

Which 2024 BMW 7 Series trim should I buy?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series is offered in 4 trim levels: 740i, 740i xDrive, 750e xDrive, 760i xDrive.

Here's the short version:

• 740i: This is the entry point, with a turbocharged inline-six, rear-wheel drive, and the lowest starting price. It gives you the core 7 Series experience, but if you want the best value, the 740i xDrive is the smarter pick because it adds all-wheel drive and is called out as the lineup’s best value.
• 740i xDrive: This is the best-value trim. It keeps the efficient six-cylinder setup but adds xDrive, and it’s the trim BMW itself points to as the sweet spot if you want to balance price, traction, and everyday usability.
• 750e xDrive: Choose this if you want the plug-in hybrid powertrain and the strongest efficiency story in the lineup. It’s quick and refined on the highway, but it costs more and is fussier in stop-and-go driving.
• 760i xDrive: This is the choice for maximum performance and the most lavish options. The V8 gives you the most vigorous driving experience, and some luxury touches are reserved for this trim.

BMW’s safety systems are standard, but the most advanced driver-assistance features still cost extra on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2024 BMW 7 Series?

This looks like a buyer-friendly moment if you’re shopping carefully and comparing listings.

• Deal availability: 40.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 619 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 90.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $68,035, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2024 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $68,035 sits slightly below last year's $80,383.

That drop suggests the market has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you plan to resell later, the same trend means you should expect continued value pressure, especially on higher-priced trims and heavily optioned examples.

For a future seller, the safest path is to buy well and avoid overpaying for options that won’t return much at trade-in time. The 740i xDrive should be easier to justify than pricier versions if you care about minimizing depreciation risk.

Is the 2024 BMW 7 Series safe?

The 2024 BMW 7 Series has not yet been crash-tested by either the IIHS or NHTSA, but BMW says its crash structures are robust.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

BMW makes a broad set of safety features standard, including forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, traffic sign recognition, adaptive headlamps, parking sensors, safe exit warning, lane-departure warning, and lane-keep assist. The Premium package adds surround view monitoring, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, and automated parking assist, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds partially automated active driving assistant and highway assistant with limited hands-free capability.

The main caveat is that BMW charges extra for its most advanced driver-assistance tech, so you need to check the option sheet carefully on any used example.

Should I buy a 2024 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 40.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.1% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.36% compared with last year.
• BMW added the 750e plug-in hybrid and lightly updated the infotainment system.

Consider the 2023 if:

• At $61,239, the 2023 costs less than the current year's $68,035 average.
• It blends comfort, luxury, and performance with broad appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model year with the added plug-in hybrid option and a softer market, the 2024 makes sense. If your priority is saving money and you’re comfortable giving up the newer-year updates, the 2023 is the better value play.
