The 2024 Audi Q7 is described as having average reliability, and it also comes with the usual luxury-SUV ownership tradeoffs, including premium-fuel requirements and potentially high repair costs. That means you should expect a used example to reward careful maintenance and a thorough pre-purchase check.

What should I look for when buying a used 2024 Audi Q7?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific Q7 you’re considering has a clean title and consistent service records. Put the inspection focus on wear items, electronics, and signs of deferred maintenance, since luxury-SUV repair costs can add up quickly. It also makes sense to pay close attention to overall condition, because a well-kept example is more likely to deliver the refinement and usability you want.

What is the 2024 Audi Q7's resale value?

The current average of $35,720 sits slightly below last year's $41,656.

That price movement suggests the Q7 has become more affordable in the used market, which can help you buy at a better entry point today. For a future seller, the same trend means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you’ll be in a better position to stand out in a market where buyers have plenty of choices.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi Q7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 45.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2025 if:

• At $43,998, the 2025 costs more than the current year's $35,720 average.
• It adds a mid-cycle refresh with updated styling and a more modern feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2024 is the stronger buy because it combines a lower average price with solid deal availability and strong owner satisfaction. If you’re willing to pay more for the refreshed model, the 2025 is the secondary path for shoppers who prioritize the newer update over price.

How does the 2024 Audi Q7 compare to the 2024 BMW X7?

The Audi Q7 is the more affordable used buy by a wide margin, and it also has the stronger deal share and slightly better accident-free share. The BMW X7 brings more power and a higher-end starting price, but you’ll pay much more for it in the used market. If your priority is value and inventory choice, the Q7 is the easier recommendation; if you want more performance and are comfortable spending significantly more, the X7 is the premium alternative.
