The current average of $29,834 sits slightly below last year's $35,168.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right price. If you pay close to the current market average, your downside is generally better than it would have been a year ago. Strong condition and clean history should matter even more if you want to protect value later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2024 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2024 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2024 if:

• 39.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2024 is the better primary choice if you want a year with solid inventory, meaningful deal availability, and strong owner satisfaction. If you're especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a slightly older example gives you a lower entry point without giving up too much condition or history quality.
