You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has higher mileage or incomplete service records. Should I buy a 2023 Audi A5 Sportback or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 41.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.6/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2023 is the better primary choice if you want a strong mix of owner satisfaction, decent deal availability, and a softer price environment. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a lower asking price outweighs the 2023's current market balance.
