How much does the 2023 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 760 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Toyota Venza earns a 5/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

The Venza fits you best if you want a stylish, fuel-efficient midsize SUV alternative with a luxury-leaning interior. Its hybrid powertrain and refined cabin are the main draws, while the trade-offs are not much cargo space and middling performance.

37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Venza’s reliability case is supported by its smooth, easygoing character and the way its hybrid system blends electric and gasoline power seamlessly. Its performance notes also point to calm, predictable driving behavior, and the cost-effectiveness content highlights easy-to-meet fuel economy estimates.

The first scheduled maintenance visit is on the house, which can help reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a well-kept example may still be compromised by limited cargo space or wear tied to higher-mileage commuting use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the vehicle history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, since the Venza’s appeal depends heavily on its cabin quality, comfort, and hybrid efficiency. Make sure the equipment level matches what you want, because some desirable features are trim-dependent.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LE trim uses an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while XLE and above get a 12.3-inch display. The cabin is dressed up with nicer materials and more soft-touch surfaces than more affordable Toyota models.
• Powertrain: The Venza uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system with 219 horsepower, a CVT, and all-wheel drive through a separate rear electric motor. It emphasizes smooth, efficient driving over sporty response.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors and automatic emergency braking when reversing.
• Infotainment: You get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a wireless charging pad. The base LE has an 8-inch touchscreen, while XLE and above upgrade to a 12.3-inch multimedia display. A Wi-Fi connection is offered for a 30-day trial, and the Limited trim adds Drive Connect services.
• Fuel efficiency: It is estimated to return 40 mpg in the city, 37 mpg on the highway, and 39 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Venza’s core appeal: the hybrid powertrain, standard all-wheel drive, wireless smartphone integration, and the standard safety suite. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model, but you give up the larger screen and some comfort and convenience upgrades.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim. It adds the 12.3-inch touchscreen, roof rails, heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and extra safety equipment, making it the sweet spot for most used buyers.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, adding a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, and the premium audio upgrade. It suits you if you want the most upscale Venza experience and are willing to pay for it.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard across the lineup, while XLE and Limited add more convenience and safety features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 760 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,381, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $32,759 sits slightly above last year's $32,448.

That small increase suggests the Venza has held value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a sharp drop in buyer interest. For a used SUV with a strong efficiency story, that kind of consistency can help support resale confidence.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2023 Toyota Venza earns five-star ratings in overall and side crash protection, and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover protection from NHTSA. The IIHS awarded it a Good rating across the board except for the new side impact test, where it earned Acceptable, and it also received a Top Safety Pick award.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ is standard and includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors and automatic emergency braking in reverse, while Limited adds a surround-view camera system, a head-up display, and a digital rearview mirror.

The lower IIHS side-impact result is the main caveat to keep in mind, even though the rest of the safety picture is strong.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It stands out for sharp styling, a luxury-leaning interior, and one of the class’s most fuel-efficient hybrid setups.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,912, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,759 average.
• It blends wagon-like proportions with crossover practicality and standard AWD.

The bottom line: If you want the newer model-year market with stable pricing and strong efficiency, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 is the more price-sensitive route and still delivers the Venza’s core hybrid appeal.
