Used 2023 Toyota Venza for Sale nearDurham, NC

How much does the 2023 Toyota Venza cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 692 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza a good car?

Yes — with a 5/5 user rating and a 6.33/10 expert rating, the 2023 Toyota Venza lands as a strong choice if you want style and efficiency over maximum utility. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Its sharp styling and luxury-leaning interior make it feel more upscale than many midsize SUV alternatives, and its hybrid powertrain helps it stand out for fuel efficiency. The trade-offs are clear, though: cargo space is limited and performance is only adequate, so it fits you best if you value a refined cabin and easygoing driving more than brisk acceleration or maximum practicality.

36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The Venza’s hybrid setup and smooth power delivery support its reputation for easy, low-stress driving, and the expert evaluation also points to a comfortable, refined character.

Its performance notes emphasize seamless transitions between electric and gasoline power, plus braking that feels natural rather than abrupt. The cost-effectiveness writeup also highlights how easy it is to meet or exceed the fuel-economy estimates, which can help reduce day-to-day ownership strain.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a vehicle built around efficiency and comfort may not suit you if you need more cargo room or stronger acceleration.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings. Focus on overall condition, since the Venza’s appeal depends heavily on a clean cabin, smooth hybrid operation, and well-kept exterior presentation. If you’re shopping a higher-mileage example, make sure the vehicle still feels composed and quiet on the road.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LE trim uses an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen, while XLE and above get a 12.3-inch display. The XLE also adds heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, roof rails, and some safety enhancements, while the Limited adds a surround-view camera, head-up display, and digital rearview mirror.
• Powertrain: You get a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid system with 219 horsepower, a CVT, and all-wheel drive from a rear electric motor. It’s tuned for smooth, efficient driving rather than quick acceleration.
• Safety package: Every model includes Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ with adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. The XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors plus reverse automatic emergency braking.
• Infotainment: You get wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a wireless charging pad. The base trim has an 8-inch touchscreen, while XLE and above upgrade to a 12.3-inch multimedia display.
• Fuel efficiency: The Venza is estimated at 40 mpg city, 37 mpg highway, and 39 mpg combined, and those figures are easy to match in real-world driving.

Which 2023 Toyota Venza trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Venza is offered in 3 trim levels: LE, XLE, Limited.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Venza’s core strengths: the hybrid powertrain, all-wheel drive, wireless smartphone integration, and strong fuel economy. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and don’t need the larger screen or extra comfort features.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim. For the added cost, you get the 12.3-inch touchscreen, roof rails, heated front seats, simulated leather upholstery, and extra safety equipment, which makes the cabin feel more upscale without jumping to the top price tier.
• Limited: This is the most feature-rich version, adding the surround-view camera system, head-up display, digital rearview mirror, and standard JBL audio. It suits you best if you want the most convenience and tech, and price is less of a concern.

All trims come with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Venza?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on a strong listing.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 692 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,384, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Venza's resale value?

The current average of $32,981 sits slightly above last year's $32,721.

That small increase suggests the Venza has held value fairly well, which is a good sign if you plan to sell later. Stable pricing also points to steady demand rather than a sharply weakening market, so you’re less likely to see dramatic depreciation in the near term.

Its fuel-efficient hybrid setup and upscale feel help keep it appealing to used buyers who want efficiency without giving up comfort. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza safe?

The 2023 Toyota Venza earns five-star ratings in overall and side crash protection, and four-star ratings in frontal and rollover protection from NHTSA. The IIHS awarded it Good ratings across the board except for the new side impact test, where it earned Acceptable, and it was named a Top Safety Pick.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Every Venza comes with Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, which includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure assist, lane-keep assist, automatic high beams, and a traffic sign reader. The XLE adds front and rear parking proximity sensors plus reverse automatic emergency braking, while the Limited adds a surround-view camera, head-up display, and digital rearview mirror.

The main caveat is the IIHS side-impact result, which is a step below the Venza’s otherwise strong crash-test performance.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Venza or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines sharp styling, strong fuel economy, and a luxury-leaning cabin.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,700, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,981 average.
• It emphasizes standard AWD and hybrid efficiency.

The bottom line: If you want the better-balanced used buy, the 2023 is the stronger pick because it offers stable pricing, strong safety, and the same efficiency-focused appeal with a more current market profile. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the better value path, especially if you’re comfortable giving up some of the 2023’s market freshness.
