Used 2023 Toyota Tundra for Sale nearAmarillo, TX

How much does the 2023 Toyota Tundra cost?

Prices have softened 6.21% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,853 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing trims and prices.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra a good car?

Yes — it earns a 4.83/5 user rating and an 8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Technology.

Owners consistently praise the powerful engine, comfortable interior, and smooth ride. They also like the truck’s stylish appearance and fuel efficiency.

The main trade-offs are its polarizing design and the fact that not all safety features are standard. For you, that means the Tundra makes the most sense if you want a full-size pickup with strong tech and value, rather than the most universally appealing styling.

Good and great deals account for 36.7% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra reliable?

Owners rate it 4.83/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a truck that feels reliable and dependable, with praise for its bullet-proof reliability and overall durability. The expert evaluation also emphasizes a reliable platform and strong performance that truck buyers can count on.

ToyotaCare adds factory-scheduled maintenance and roadside assistance for two years or 25,000 miles at no additional cost, which helps reduce early ownership hassle.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day dependability and more about making sure the specific truck has been maintained well and not overworked.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Tundra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the truck has towing or off-road use in its past. Focus on overall condition, feature operation, and whether the trim level matches the equipment you want.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The SR and SR5 are the most basic versions, and the SR5 can be dressed up with the SX appearance package. Higher trims add more comfort and convenience, including the larger touchscreen and more upscale interior touches.
• Powertrain: You get a standard 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 with 389 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque, plus an available hybrid version with 437 hp and 583 lb-ft. The hybrid is available on the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition, and standard on the TRD Pro and Capstone.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 includes automatic emergency braking, road-sign detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-tracing assist, and sway warning. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but not standard across the lineup.
• Infotainment: The SR and SR5 use an 8-inch touchscreen, while the 14-inch screen is optional on SR5 and standard above it. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, and the system also includes a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel.
• Fuel efficiency: The move to six-cylinder power is aimed at better efficiency than the old V8 setup, and the hybrid powertrain is the efficiency-focused choice in the lineup.

Which 2023 Toyota Tundra trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Tundra is offered in 7 trim levels: SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro, and Capstone.

Here's the short version:

• SR: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and still want the Tundra’s core capability. It makes the most sense if you care more about value and utility than upscale features.
• SR5: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it opens the door to more equipment, including the available SX appearance package and the larger touchscreen option.
• Limited: This is where the Tundra starts to feel more premium, and it also unlocks the available hybrid powertrain and wireless charging.
• Platinum: This trim adds more luxury and comes with the hybrid powertrain standard, making it a strong pick if you want comfort and power together.
• 1794 Edition: Choose this if you want a more upscale, character-rich truck with the hybrid powertrain standard and a more premium feel.
• TRD Pro: This is the off-road-focused choice, with a lift, Fox shocks, locking rear differential, crawl control, and other trail hardware.
• Capstone: This is the luxury flagship, with the hybrid powertrain standard and the most upscale positioning in the lineup.

The safety package uses Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, and blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are not standard on every trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Tundra?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,853 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $42,542, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Tundra's resale value?

The current average of $42,542 sits slightly below last year's $45,359.

That decline suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now. For a future seller, the softer pricing means you should expect some depreciation pressure if you buy at the current average and try to resell soon. The good news is that strong demand for well-equipped trucks can still support values, especially for cleaner examples with desirable trims and features.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.83/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Tundra safe?

The 2023 Toyota Tundra earns a Top Safety Pick+ from IIHS for CrewMax models.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard and includes automatic emergency braking, road-sign detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, lane-tracing assist, and sway warning. Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert are available, but they are not standard across the lineup.

The main caveat is that not every safety feature comes standard, so you should confirm the exact equipment on the truck you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Tundra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.21% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.83/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Toyota adds an SX appearance package for the SR5 trim, giving this year a small but useful update.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,388, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $42,542 average.
• It brings a major redesign with new powertrains and a broader trim lineup.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,565, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $42,542 average.
• It leans harder into capability and personality, with a stronger focus on the i-Force Max drivetrain.

The bottom line: If you want the newest version of the redesigned Tundra without paying more for the next model year, the 2023 is the sweet spot. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value play. If you want to spend more for a newer truck with a slightly different feature mix, the 2024 is worth a look.
