Used 2023 Toyota Supra for Sale nearPittsburgh, PA

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra a good car?

The 2023 Toyota Supra earns a 7.33/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Performance at 9/10.

The 2023 update matters because the manual transmission finally arrives, which broadens the car’s appeal if you want a more involved sports car. The Supra already had the ingredients you’d expect from a serious driver’s car: balanced weight distribution, precise steering, and an available six-cylinder engine. That makes it especially compelling if you care more about driving enjoyment than everyday practicality.

The trade-offs are real, though. Advanced safety features are not standard, and the car can suffer from buffeting when the windows are open. Even so, the Supra’s fun-to-drive character and strong handling make it a strong fit for enthusiast shoppers.

Good and great deals account for 29.6% of listings, which suggests there’s at least some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra reliable?

The 2023 Toyota Supra is presented as a well-engineered sports car with a strong performance focus, and Toyota backs it with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty plus a 5-year, 60,000-mile warranty. It also includes ToyotaCare, a 2-year, 25,000-mile complimentary maintenance plan that covers factory-scheduled service and roadside assistance.

Its performance setup is described as a turbocharged four-cylinder or turbocharged six-cylinder layout, with the six-cylinder delivering especially strong output and broad torque. The manual transmission is also described as short-throw, easy, and precise, which supports the idea that the car is built to deliver a polished driving experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that this is still a tightly packaged performance coupe, so you should expect higher sensitivity to maintenance history and prior use than you would from a mainstream commuter car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a sports car like this, where prior driving style and maintenance discipline can matter a lot. Focus on overall condition, signs of hard use, and whether the car has been kept up with scheduled service.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The 2.0 trim is the entry point, but it comes with the smaller engine and fewer amenities. The 3.0 trim is the one to target if you want the stronger six-cylinder experience, while the 3.0 Premium and A91 add more equipment and are the trims that can be optioned with additional safety tech.
• Powertrain: You can choose between a 255-horsepower four-cylinder and a 382-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder. The six-cylinder is the more rewarding engine, and the manual transmission is available only with the six-cylinder setup.
• Safety package: Every Supra includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, stability control, traction control, and brake assist. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking are available on the 3.0 Premium and A91 trims, so base trims miss some important driver-assistance features.
• Infotainment: The 2.0 uses an 8.8-inch touchscreen with a four-speaker stereo, Bluetooth, USB inputs, and satellite radio. The 3.0 upgrades to a 10-speaker stereo, while the 3.0 Premium and A91 add a 12-speaker JBL system, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and a wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The automatic six-cylinder is rated at 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined, while the manual six-cylinder is rated at 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Supra is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0, 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the least expensive way into the Supra, but it’s also the least compelling if you want the full sports-car experience. It gets the four-cylinder engine and the simpler audio setup, so it makes sense mainly if price matters more than performance.
• 3.0: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers. You get the stronger six-cylinder engine and the better 10-speaker stereo, which makes it the trim to start with if you want the Supra’s core appeal without stretching into the pricier versions.
• 3.0 Premium: This is the trim to choose if you want the most complete mix of performance and convenience. It adds the richer JBL audio setup, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and wireless charging, and it’s also one of the trims that can be optioned with more advanced safety tech.
• A91: This is the top trim and is for you if you want the most fully equipped Supra experience. It builds on the 3.0 Premium’s equipment and adds the same safety-tech availability, while also serving as the most upscale expression of the lineup.

Purchase a 3.0 Premium or the A91 trim level if you want the available safety features such as adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring.

• Clean inventory: 82.4% of listings are accident-free.

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra safe?

The 2023 Toyota Supra does not have a crash-test rating cited here, but it does come with a solid standard safety package.

It earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, stability control, traction control, and brake assist are standard on every Supra. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking are available on the 3.0 Premium and A91 trims.

A key caveat is that blind-spot monitoring is not standard, even though the car’s small windows make it especially useful.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 29.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• The manual transmission finally arrives, making the Supra more engaging for enthusiasts.

Consider the 2022 if:

• You want the same core performance formula without paying for the manual-transmission update.

The bottom line: If you want the most engaging version of this generation, the 2023 is the one to target because the manual meaningfully expands the Supra’s appeal. If you’re more price-sensitive and don’t care about the stick shift, the 2022 remains a sensible alternative because it delivers the same basic sports-car character.
