Used 2023 Toyota Supra for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra a good car?

The 2023 Toyota Supra earns a 7.33/10 expert rating, and the standout strength is Performance at 9/10. The 2023 update matters because the manual transmission finally arrives, which broadens the car’s appeal if you want a sports car that feels more engaging and rewarding to drive. That fits the Supra’s core mission well: it’s a balanced, precise, fun-to-drive coupe with strong handling and a six-cylinder engine that delivers the kind of performance enthusiasts expect.

The trade-offs are just as clear. Advanced safety features are not standard, and the car can suffer from buffeting when the windows are open. Even so, the Supra remains a compelling choice if you value driving enjoyment above all else, and 19.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra reliable?

The 2023 Toyota Supra is presented as a well-engineered sports car with a strong performance focus, and Toyota backs it with a 3-year, 36,000-mile warranty plus a 5-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. ToyotaCare also includes 2 years and 25,000 miles of complimentary maintenance and roadside assistance, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

From a durability standpoint, the car’s performance hardware is described as polished and precise, and the manual-transmission setup is framed as a worthwhile addition rather than a compromise. The main long-term ownership risk for used buyers is that this is still a tightly packaged, enthusiast-focused coupe, so condition and maintenance history matter more than they would on a mainstream car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Supra?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, because a clean listing percentage does not replace documentation. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the drivetrain, clutch operation on manual cars, and signs of hard use. Because this is a sports coupe, condition matters a lot: look closely at tires, brakes, and any evidence of cosmetic or mechanical wear.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lower trims are more basic inside, with black-on-black materials, a smaller infotainment setup, and fewer premium touches than the upper trims. The 3.0 Premium and A91 add more upscale equipment, and the A91 can be outfitted with hazelnut leather.
• Powertrain: The 2.0 uses a four-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.0 uses a turbocharged six-cylinder with 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque. The manual transmission is offered on the six-cylinder setup, not the 2.0.
• Safety package: Every Supra includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, stability control, traction control, and brake assist. Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking are available on the 3.0 Premium and A91.
• Infotainment: The 2.0 uses an 8.8-inch touchscreen with a four-speaker stereo. The 3.0 upgrades to a 10-speaker stereo, while the 3.0 Premium and A91 add a 12-speaker JBL system, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad.
• Fuel efficiency: The automatic six-cylinder returns 22 mpg city, 30 mpg highway, and 25 mpg combined, while the manual six-cylinder is rated at 19 mpg city, 27 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Toyota Supra trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Supra is offered in 4 trim levels: 2.0, 3.0, 3.0 Premium, and A91 MT.

Here's the short version:

• 2.0: This is the entry point, but it’s the least compelling choice if you want the full Supra experience. It gets the four-cylinder engine and the simpler tech setup, and it lacks the manual transmission. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and can live without the six-cylinder character.
• 3.0: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it gives you the six-cylinder engine and the more satisfying performance setup without jumping straight to the pricier premium equipment. If you want the core Supra experience, this is the trim to start with.
• 3.0 Premium: This is the better pick if you want the richer tech and convenience package. It adds the JBL audio system, navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, voice recognition, and wireless charging, and it can also be optioned with more advanced driver-assistance features.
• A91 MT: This is the enthusiast-focused choice if you want the manual transmission and the top-end trim treatment. It sits at the top of the lineup and is the one to consider if you want the most complete, driver-centric Supra.

Purchase a 3.0 Premium or the A91 trim level, and you can also option your car with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking.

Is the 2023 Toyota Supra safe?

The 2023 Toyota Supra earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota makes the standard safety equipment unusually strong for a sports car: automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, stability control, traction control, and brake assist all come standard. That said, blind-spot monitoring does not come standard, which is worth noting because the car’s small windows make that feature especially useful.

Purchase a 3.0 Premium or the A91 trim level, and you can also option your car with adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Supra or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 19.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• The manual transmission finally arrives, making the Supra more engaging and rewarding to drive.

Consider the 2022 if:

• It delivers the same driver-focused coupe formula with a strong performance edge.

The bottom line: If you want the most engaging version of this generation, the 2023 is the one to target because the manual transmission meaningfully expands its appeal. If you’re mainly shopping on price and don’t care about the stick shift, the 2022 can still make sense as a lower-friction way to get the same basic Supra performance character.
