Used 2023 Toyota Sienna for Sale nearToledo, OH

How much does the 2023 Toyota Sienna cost?

Prices have softened 2.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,774 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Toyota Sienna earns a 4.11/5 user rating and a 7.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its fuel efficiency, spaciousness, and comfort, and many highlight the hybrid setup as a major advantage for family use. The Sienna also gets credit for being practical and easy to live with, especially if you value cargo space and a roomy cabin.

The trade-offs are clear: acceleration is sluggish, the transmission can be irritating, and the second-row seats are not removable. For you, that means the Sienna makes the most sense if practicality and efficiency matter more than driving excitement.

Good and great deals account for 38.6% of listings, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.11/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with strong praise for the hybrid’s efficiency and the van’s comfort over time. The expert evaluation also describes the technology as reliable, even if the interface itself feels dated.

Toyota’s hybrid setup and family-focused design suggest a vehicle built for steady daily use rather than drama. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is more about wear items and condition than any obvious reliability red flag.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you like, even if it looks clean at first glance. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the hybrid system, brakes, tires, and interior wear, since family use can add up quickly. Focus on condition details that matter in a minivan: seat wear, sliding-door operation, and signs of heavy cargo or child-seat use.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, 25th Anniversary Special Edition, and Platinum. The XLE is the value-oriented step up because it adds standard LED fog lights, power-sliding doors, and a power liftgate, while the base LE is the most stripped-down choice.
• Powertrain: Every model uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid setup with two front-mounted electric motors, plus a third rear-mounted electric motor on AWD trims. Output is 245 net system horsepower, and the efficiency-first setup is the Sienna’s defining mechanical trait.
• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense-style driver assistance comes standard with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. That standard coverage is a major advantage, especially if you’re comparing lower trims.
• Infotainment: The Sienna uses a 9-inch touchscreen, standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, Bluetooth, an optional navigation system, and seven USB ports. CarPlay and Android Auto require a wired connection, and the interface feels dated.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA rates AWD models at 35 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 35 mpg combined, while FWD models return 36 mpg across the board.

Which 2023 Toyota Sienna trim should I buy?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna is offered in 6 trim levels: LE, XLE, XSE, Limited, 25th Anniversary Special Edition, and Platinum.

Here's the short version:

• LE: This is the entry point if you want the lowest starting price and standard hybrid efficiency, but it is the most basic way into the lineup.
• XLE: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds standard LED fog lights, power-sliding doors, and a power liftgate.
• XSE: Choose this if you want a sportier look and, on FWD versions, the larger 20-inch wheels mentioned in the test-drive notes.
• 25th Anniversary Special Edition: This sits just below the Limited and is the trim to consider if you want a commemorative step-up without going all the way to the top.
• Limited: This is the upscale family choice if you want a more premium feel without jumping to the highest-priced model.
• Platinum: This is the top-shelf pick for shoppers who want the most upscale interior presentation and the highest trim position.

Standard safety equipment is a strong point across the lineup, so even lower trims give you a solid safety foundation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Toyota Sienna?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay patient.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,774 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,892, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $41,164 sits slightly below last year's $42,165.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the current trend implies you may not see rapid appreciation, but the Sienna’s strong family appeal should help support demand. Its efficiency, practicality, and broad usefulness give it a solid foundation for holding buyer interest over time.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.11/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Toyota Sienna safe?

The 2023 Toyota Sienna earns five-star ratings from NHTSA, and the mechanically identical 2022 model received a Top Safety Pick+ designation from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Toyota equips the Sienna with a strong standard driver-assistance suite that includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with steering assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control. That standard coverage is especially valuable in a family vehicle.

The main caveat is that the 2023 model had not yet been rated by IIHS at the time of the test-drive writeup, even though the related 2022 version earned top honors. For used buyers, that means the Sienna looks very strong on safety, but you should still confirm the exact equipment on the trim you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.11/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• It combines hybrid efficiency, standard safety tech, and family-friendly practicality in a well-rounded package.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $36,453, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $41,164 average.
• It carries over the redesigned hybrid formula and adds a Woodland trim for adventurous buyers.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $44,290, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $41,164 average.
• It keeps the hybrid formula and adds a more modern-feeling family-hauler presentation.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, efficiency, and family usefulness, the 2023 is the smart default. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look because it delivers much of the same core appeal for less money. If you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2024 is the next step up.
