What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Toyota Highlander?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then inspect the vehicle closely for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or poor repairs. Focus on overall condition, especially how the interior, cargo area, and seating surfaces have held up, since family use can leave visible wear.

Should I buy a 2023 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.81% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,952, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,558 average.
• It emphasizes family-focused versatility and a smooth, easy-to-use driving experience.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and satisfaction, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path and still delivers the Highlander’s core strengths.
