Is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne a good car?

Yes — 5/5. The 2023 Porsche Cayenne is positioned as a luxury SUV that still leans hard into Porsche’s performance-first identity, with a refined, sturdy, and genuinely quick character. It is strongest if you value the badge, the driving experience, and the polished feel more than outright value, and it remains expensive with few standard features. That makes it a better fit if you want a premium performance SUV rather than a bargain-minded family hauler. Market availability is healthy, with 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals.

Is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Cayenne is described as refined, sturdy, and built with solid construction, which supports confidence in day-to-day use. It also carries over without significant changes, suggesting a mature formula rather than a fresh redesign with unknowns. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about higher running costs, especially maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Porsche Cayenne?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the specific example has a clean title and consistent service records. Put a priority on a pre-purchase inspection, especially because maintenance is pricey and you want to catch any deferred upkeep early. Focus your condition check on wear items, interior condition, and evidence of careful ownership, since the Cayenne’s appeal depends heavily on how well it has been maintained.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Porsche Cayenne?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,108 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.30% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 91.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $63,324, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Porsche Cayenne's resale value?

The current average of $63,324 sits slightly below last year's $70,597.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that the Cayenne’s value is still supported by its premium positioning, but you should expect depreciation to remain part of the ownership equation. Strong condition and documented maintenance matter more when you want to protect resale value in a luxury SUV segment.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Porsche Cayenne or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 91.9% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.30% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Cayenne’s performance-first character and you value a year with softened pricing, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years for a lower entry point, but the 2023 still offers a strong mix of inventory, condition, and buyer appeal.
