Used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE for Sale nearBakersfield, CA

How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE cost?

Prices have softened 9.49% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,340 listings available, which gives you a healthy amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

You’re looking at a midsize luxury SUV that blends prestige, performance, and practicality, with a high-quality cabin and top-rate technology. It also delivers impeccable ride quality and agile handling, so you get comfort without giving up responsiveness.

The main trade-offs are that options can quickly push the price upward, and AMG models are thirsty and expensive. For buyers who want a polished luxury SUV with strong everyday versatility, that balance still works well.

36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The GLE is described as a polished, well-built luxury SUV with a cabin that feels high quality and robust. Its hybrid setup is presented as adapting easily to all sorts of driving situations, and the transition from gas to electric power is described as almost undetectable.

The regenerative braking brings only modest range gains, so that’s one area where the hybrid experience is less impressive than the rest of the package. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a heavily optioned or higher-performance version that can be more expensive to maintain and live with.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any listing you’re considering, even if it looks clean on paper. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the cabin electronics, suspension feel, and brake behavior, since those are the kinds of systems that can matter most in a luxury SUV. Focus on overall condition and option content, because the price can climb quickly as equipment levels rise.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is described as high quality and robust-looking, with a wide range of interior materials and wheel choices, but options can quickly push the price upward.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes turbocharged four- and six-cylinder engines, plus a plug-in hybrid setup that adapts easily to different driving situations.
• Safety package: The Driver Assistance package adds active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and evasive steering assist.
• Infotainment: A pair of 12.3-inch screens anchor the system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.
• Fuel efficiency: The plug-in hybrid setup is described as a sweet spot for acceleration, suspension tuning, handling, and fuel economy, though regenerative braking brings only modest range gains.

Which 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE trim should I buy?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE is offered in 5 trim levels: GLE 350, GLE 450, GLE 450e, GLE 580, AMG GLE 53, AMG GLE 63 S.

Here's the short version:

• GLE 350: This is the value-oriented starting point if you want the GLE’s luxury feel without chasing the pricier powertrains and options.
• GLE 450: This is the best-value trim if you want a stronger all-around balance of performance and equipment without jumping into the more expensive models.
• GLE 450e: This is the smart pick if you want the plug-in hybrid setup and the most compelling mix of efficiency and everyday usability.
• GLE 580: Choose this if you want more power and are willing to pay for it.
• AMG GLE 53: This is for buyers who want a more performance-focused version of the GLE.
• AMG GLE 63 S: This is the top performance choice, but it comes with the highest ownership costs.

The safety package is a worthwhile option, and the Driver Assistance package is especially recommended if you want the fullest set of active safety features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,340 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.49% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $48,486, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE's resale value?

The current average of $48,534 sits slightly below last year's $53,623.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. If you plan to sell later, the current softness means your future resale will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle is equipped.

Because the GLE is a desirable luxury SUV with strong appeal, well-kept examples should still attract attention. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE safe?

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE earns an 8/10 safety score from our experts.

It comes with a comprehensive lineup of active safety features, including blind-spot monitoring, automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, pedestrian detection, hands-free park assist, rain-sensing wipers, automatic high-beam headlights, and a driver attention monitor.

The optional Driver Assistance package adds active blind-spot assist, active lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, traffic sign recognition, and evasive steering assist. That package is a meaningful upgrade if you want the fullest safety setup.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.49% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It offers a polished cabin, top-rate technology, and a plug-in hybrid sweet spot.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $40,065, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $48,534 average.
• It leans hard into style with a distinctive SUV-coupe shape.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $55,842, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $48,534 average.
• It adds a facelift, upgraded interior tech, and a new plug-in hybrid option.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the strongest all-around choice. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is worth a look; if you want the newer facelift and updated tech, the 2024 is the upgrade path.
