What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a history report to confirm the car’s background and make sure the listing matches the seller’s claims. Then prioritize a careful inspection of the cabin and controls, since comfort and day-to-day condition matter a lot in a value-oriented vehicle like this. Focus on overall wear, signs of neglect, and whether the car feels as practical and clean as the listing suggests.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Nissan Kicks?

This is a moderate market for buyers, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,903 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $17,400, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Nissan Kicks's resale value?

The current average of $17,882 sits slightly below last year's $18,758.

That softer pricing suggests the model is holding value reasonably well, but not aggressively, which can be good news if you are buying and mixed news if you are planning to sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. A clean, well-kept example should still attract interest because shoppers in this segment tend to respond to value and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.67% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2023 Nissan Kicks makes the most sense if you want a practical, efficient, value-first used SUV and you find a clean example at a competitive price. If your priority is stretching your budget as far as possible, you should still compare nearby model years, but the 2023 is a strong primary target when condition and price line up. If you are especially price-sensitive, look for the lowest-mileage, best-maintained alternative that still lands near the lower end of the market.
