That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. A clean history and good maintenance will matter because shoppers in this segment tend to compare value closely.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.86/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2022 Nissan Kicks or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2022 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2022 if:

• 35.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.86/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2021 if:

• At $14,567, the 2021 costs less than the current year's $15,400 average.
• It adds more features while keeping the same simple, budget-friendly appeal.

The bottom line: Choose the 2022 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2021 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in clean condition with the features you want.
