How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cost?

Prices have softened 12.91% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,081 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of used E-Class options to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, and it fits a used luxury sedan that still feels thoroughly modern. The E-Class has long been positioned as a benchmark in the mid-size luxury class, with comfort, space, and prestige that make it appealing if you want a refined daily driver. Its standard equipment is lavish, and the cabin brings a high-tech, upscale feel that helps it stand out. 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is described as a luxury sedan with a strong reputation for comfort, and its standard equipment and driver-assistance features support that polished character. At the same time, some owners have reported juddering brakes and glitchy infotainment systems, so you should pay close attention to how the car behaves on a test drive and during a full systems check. For used buyers, the biggest long-term ownership risk is buying a poorly maintained example, especially one with unresolved mechanical or electronic issues.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks brakes, electronics, and service records. Because some owners have reported infotainment glitches and brake judder, condition matters more than mileage alone. If you’re considering an early E300, make maintenance documentation a top priority and look closely for signs of past engine-related repairs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,081 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.91% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,163, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $47,163 sits slightly below last year's $54,153.

That price drop suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and maintenance history rather than just the badge. Well-kept examples should still attract interest because the E-Class remains a desirable luxury sedan with broad appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 32.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.91% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $38,997, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $47,163 average.
• It keeps the E-Class's polished luxury feel with few changes after the 2021 refresh.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,325, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $47,163 average.
• It adds a redesign with a more advanced cabin and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the strongest all-around pick. If you’re more price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newer redesign and are willing to pay more.
