How much does the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class cost?

Prices have softened 13.03% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,095 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction for this model year.

The 2023 E-Class is positioned as a used luxury sedan that still feels thoroughly modern, with comfort, space, and prestige that make it a benchmark in the mid-size luxury class. It also brings a lavish standard equipment list, a high-tech interior, and a wide range of body styles and powertrains, so you can shop for the version that best fits your needs. For buyers who want a refined luxury sedan with a strong feature set, it remains an appealing choice.

37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 E-Class is described as a well-equipped, refined luxury sedan, but you should still pay close attention to condition and maintenance history. The model has reported issues such as juddering brakes and glitchy infotainment systems, and early E300 models may have a fault that could lead to a cracked piston. For used buyers, that means a careful inspection matters because long-term ownership risk is tied more to individual vehicle history than to the overall appeal of the model.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on braking behavior, infotainment operation, and overall maintenance records. Because condition and service history matter here, a clean history report is only the starting point; you also want to confirm that the car drives smoothly and that all luxury and driver-assistance features work as intended. Pay extra attention to signs of deferred maintenance, since that can affect both reliability and ownership costs.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,095 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $47,049, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class's resale value?

The current average of $47,049 sits slightly below last year's $54,098.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the key question is whether the car holds its appeal through condition, mileage, and service history. Well-kept examples should remain easier to move because the model still carries strong luxury-brand recognition and a broad appeal among used buyers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Mercedes-Benz E-Class or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 13.03% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $39,004, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $47,049 average.
• It keeps the E-Class's polished luxury feel with few changes and useful standard updates.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $53,081, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $47,049 average.
• It adds a redesign with a more advanced cabin and standard all-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of modern feel, strong satisfaction, and a softer used-market price, the 2023 is the primary pick. If your priority is saving money, the 2022 is the better value path; if you want the newest redesign and can spend more, the 2024 is the upgrade route.
