How much does the 2023 Mazda CX-9 cost?

There are 422 listings available, which suggests a modest but workable amount of inventory for shoppers.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Mazda CX-9 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner approval. It stands out for putting driving feel ahead of sheer size, with sportier tuning, a premium-leaning cabin, and all-wheel drive that suits shoppers who want a more engaging crossover. If you value style, a polished interior, and a vehicle that feels athletic on the road, this model year fits that use case well. The market also shows 38.2% good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Mazda CX-9’s appeal comes from its refined feel, premium cabin ambition, and balanced everyday usability rather than from any single flashy feature. For used buyers, that usually means the biggest long-term ownership risk is less about the concept and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy family use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Mazda CX-9?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection if the vehicle has any signs of prior damage or inconsistent maintenance. Pay close attention to interior condition, infotainment operation, and how the vehicle drives, since this model’s strengths are tied to refinement and road feel. Because the cabin and technology are part of the CX-9’s appeal, condition matters as much as mileage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Mazda CX-9?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 422 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 76.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $26,474, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $26,474 sits slightly below last year's $27,979.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy at a more favorable point but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For future sellers, the current pricing trend implies you should expect value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been cared for. Well-kept examples should still draw interest from shoppers who want the CX-9’s upscale feel and engaging road manners.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 76.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $23,538, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $26,474 average.
• It offers a near-luxury feel with premium materials and a smooth ride.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, availability, and buyer satisfaction, the 2023 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the more price-sensitive path and still delivers much of the CX-9’s upscale character.
