Is the 2023 Lexus NX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Lexus NX is described as having Lexus’ exceptional dependability, and that reputation is one of its biggest strengths. Its appeal is reinforced by a straightforward premium formula: distinctive design, a refined cabin, and a lineup that includes efficient hybrid options. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about the brand’s reliability story and more about making sure the specific vehicle has been maintained well and matches the condition you expect.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus NX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with the history report so you can confirm the car’s accident and title background before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of the exterior, interior, and electronics, since the NX’s appeal depends heavily on its premium presentation and tech features. Focus especially on overall condition, because a clean-looking listing can still hide wear that affects value and ownership satisfaction.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus NX?

It looks like a buyer-friendly market right now, with meaningful inventory and a healthy share of discounted listings.

• Deal availability: 42.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,561 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.36% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $37,707, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus NX's resale value?

The current average of $37,708 sits slightly below last year's $39,427.

That price movement suggests the market has eased, which can help you buy at a more favorable point but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the good news is that the NX still benefits from strong brand appeal, a premium image, and broad shopper interest. Those traits can help support demand when it’s time to list the vehicle again.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus NX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 42.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.36% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $35,364, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $37,708 average.
• The 2022 is more tech-forward and visually distinctive.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around shopping environment, the 2023 is the better primary target because it combines a favorable price trend, solid inventory, and strong owner satisfaction. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and the lower price matters more than the newer-year premium.
