Why it stands out
The 2023 Lexus LS stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that blends comfort, refinement, and a distinctive design language. Lexus’ flagship wears a fluid exterior shape with an intricate spindle grille pattern, and the cabin is built around Japanese-inspired hospitality themes, real wood trim, and available decorative touches such as Kiriko Glass ornamentation and hand-folded pleats on the door trim. It also offers a quiet, premium interior atmosphere, which is one of the LS’s defining strengths.
For 2023, the LS benefits from an updated infotainment system that still uses touchscreen controls, along with wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car also comes with a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, and the available 23-speaker Mark Levinson stereo adds to its upscale feel. Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and high-beam assist, giving the LS a strong technology and safety foundation.
The 2023 Lexus LS is appealing to buyers who want a luxury sedan that emphasizes smoothness, craftsmanship, and a calm driving experience over flash. Owners also praise its beauty, comfort, and smooth performance, and many appreciate its low maintenance needs. On the downside, the LS’s technology can be less intuitive than some rivals, and some shoppers may wish for better fuel economy options.

I have been driving LS Lexus for over 15 years and I would say I havent had a better automobile. Make sure I keep the oil changed on the recommended mileage and keep some good tires on it besides brakes. And I havent had any other issues with them.

Very beautiful, well designed car. Had an older model, and it was like I was floating on air. Very comfortable, elegant, agile, etc. The only thing I wish now, was that they would bring it back with a V6...that should help with gas prices. Other than that, top of the line car and very low maintainance required. Quality car.

Is the 2023 Lexus LS a good car?
Yes — the 2023 Lexus LS earns a 5/5 user rating, and owners consistently point to its beauty, comfort, and smooth performance as the main reasons it stands out. The cabin’s quiet, premium atmosphere and craftsmanship-focused design fit especially well if you want a full-size luxury sedan that prioritizes calm, refinement, and a relaxed driving experience over flash. Owners also appreciate its low maintenance needs, which adds to its appeal as a luxury daily driver. With 35.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful number of value-oriented options to consider.
Is the 2023 Lexus LS reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. In owner feedback, the 2023 Lexus LS is described as reliable, with many drivers appreciating its low maintenance needs and trouble-free ownership feel. That combination makes it appealing if you want a luxury sedan you can count on over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic dependability and more about keeping maintenance costs and condition in check as the car ages.
What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus LS?
Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies. You should still run a history report and verify that the car’s past matches the seller’s description, especially if you’re shopping from the broader used market rather than a certified program. Put inspection priority on overall condition, since a luxury sedan like this is best judged by how well its interior, electronics, and maintenance history have been preserved. Focus on signs of wear that could affect long-term ownership costs, not just cosmetic presentation.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus LS?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.
- Deal availability: 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 115 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 90.4% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2023 Lexus LS or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2023 if:
- 35.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.4% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2023 Lexus LS is the better choice if you want the strongest mix of owner satisfaction, clean inventory, and luxury comfort in this generation. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2023 gives you a compelling balance of refinement and market availability that makes it the primary year to target.
