Why it stands out
The 2023 Lexus LS stands out as a full-size luxury sedan that blends comfort, refinement, and a distinctive design language. Lexus gave the LS a fluid, premium look, and the cabin was shaped around Japanese omotenashi principles of hospitality and mindfulness. Inside, buyers get a richly appointed interior with nine available color schemes, real wood trim with layered Japanese patterns, ambient lighting inspired by Andon lanterns, and available Kiriko Glass ornamentation and hand-folded pleats on the door trim.
It also offers the kind of modern equipment luxury buyers expect. The 12.3-inch infotainment screen is prominent, and the 23-speaker Mark Levinson stereo system was praised for its audio performance. Standard safety equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, and high-beam assist. For 2023, the infotainment system featured touchscreen controls and wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which makes the LS feel more current than earlier versions.
What makes the 2023 Lexus LS especially appealing is the way it pairs smooth performance with a reputation for durability. Owners commonly praise its beauty, comfort, and refined driving experience, and the model’s low-maintenance reputation remains part of its appeal. The main drawbacks are familiar ones for this class: the technology can be unintuitive, and some buyers may wish for better fuel economy options.

I have been driving LS Lexus for over 15 years and I would say I havent had a better automobile. Make sure I keep the oil changed on the recommended mileage and keep some good tires on it besides brakes. And I havent had any other issues with them.

Very beautiful, well designed car. Had an older model, and it was like I was floating on air. Very comfortable, elegant, agile, etc. The only thing I wish now, was that they would bring it back with a V6...that should help with gas prices. Other than that, top of the line car and very low maintainance required. Quality car.

Is the 2023 Lexus LS a good car?
Yes — the 2023 Lexus LS earns a 5/5 user rating, and owners consistently point to its beauty, comfort, and smooth performance as the biggest reasons to like it. The overview also frames it as a full-size luxury sedan built around refinement and hospitality, with a richly appointed cabin, premium materials, and a calm driving experience. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a flagship sedan that emphasizes comfort and craftsmanship over flash. With 35% of listings priced as good or great deals, there’s also a meaningful share of the market worth considering.
Is the 2023 Lexus LS reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The user summary reinforces that by highlighting low maintenance needs and the car’s smooth, dependable character, while the overview notes that the LS’s low-maintenance reputation remains part of its appeal. That combination suggests you’re looking at a luxury sedan that many owners feel comfortable living with over time. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability and more about keeping maintenance costs and condition in check.
What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus LS?
Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report. You should prioritize a clean history report, since that helps confirm the car hasn’t had hidden damage or repairs that could affect long-term value. A careful inspection should focus on overall condition, especially the cabin, electronics, and signs of deferred maintenance. Because this is a luxury sedan, you’ll want to make sure the car’s refinement matches its asking price.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus LS?
This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can be choosy if you’re patient and focused on condition.
- Deal availability: 35% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 120 listings available.
- Clean inventory: 88.3% of listings are accident-free.
Should I buy a 2023 Lexus LS or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2023 if:
- 35% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line: The 2023 Lexus LS is the better path if you want a highly rated luxury sedan with strong owner satisfaction and a healthy share of clean listings. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s still worth comparing nearby model years to see whether you can save money without giving up the comfort and refinement that make the LS appealing.
