Used 2023 Lexus GX for Sale nearOklahoma City, OK

How much does the 2023 Lexus GX cost?

Prices have softened 2.61% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,361 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Lexus GX earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 6/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Look and feel at 7/10.

Owners consistently praise its luxurious feel, proven reliability, and powerful V8 engine. They also highlight its off-road capability and comfort, which fits the GX’s role as a rugged luxury SUV for buyers who want capability first. The trade-offs are clear: poor fuel economy and outdated technology show up in both owner feedback and expert evaluation.

The GX makes the most sense if you want towing and off-road ability in a traditional, body-on-frame package rather than a car-based crossover. At 37.0% good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a proven, dependable SUV that many shoppers feel comfortable counting on over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the GX’s rugged, traditional hardware is built for long-term use, even if the design itself is aging. Lexus includes a first scheduled maintenance visit as part of the ownership experience.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic durability and more about living with an older design, especially if you care about modern tech and efficiency.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Lexus GX?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, maintenance records, and signs of hard use, especially if the SUV was used for towing or off-road driving. Pay close attention to condition details that matter on a luxury SUV with older technology and a traditional truck-based layout.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim has a more limited equipment list, while higher trims add more luxury and convenience features. The cabin still shows some hard plastic, so you should judge interior condition carefully.
• Powertrain: The GX uses a 4.6-liter V8 with 301 horsepower and 329 pound-feet of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard four-wheel drive. It is tuned more for low-end strength and towing than for efficiency.
• Safety package: The GX includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and automatic high beams. It does not include lane-tracing assist or road-sign recognition.
• Infotainment: The GX has a 10.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Amazon Alexa. Lexus Enform Remote is included, and the system still feels dated compared with newer rivals.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA estimates 15 mpg city, 19 highway, and 16 combined.

Which 2023 Lexus GX trim should I buy?

The 2023 Lexus GX is offered in 4 trim levels: GX 460, GX 460 Premium, GX 460 Luxury, and GX 460 Black Line.

Here's the short version:

• GX 460: This is the entry point, and it gives you the GX’s core strengths without pushing the price too far up. It is the trim to start with if you want the traditional V8-and-4WD formula at the lowest cost.
• GX 460 Premium: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds more comfort and convenience equipment without jumping all the way to the top-end pricing. If you want a more complete luxury experience, this is the trim to focus on first.
• GX 460 Luxury: This is the right choice if you want the most upscale version of the GX and are willing to pay for it. It is also the trim where the premium audio system is standard.
• GX 460 Black Line: This is the limited-production choice if you want a more distinctive appearance and exclusivity. It is limited to 3,000 units and adds unique styling touches.

The safety package includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and automatic high beams, but it misses some higher-end driver-assistance features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Lexus GX?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,361 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $54,478, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $55,008 sits slightly below last year's $56,483.

That price movement suggests the GX has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale gains if you sell soon. For a future seller, the current trend points to a market that is still willing to pay for the GX’s V8, towing ability, and traditional SUV character, but not enough to offset age-related drawbacks completely. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you should be better positioned than owners of neglected examples.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Lexus GX safe?

The 2023 Lexus GX has not been crash tested by either NHTSA or IIHS.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Lexus equips the GX with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert, adaptive cruise control, parking assist, and automatic high beams. The main safety caveat is that it misses some higher-end driver-assistance features, including lane-tracing assist and road-sign recognition.

Should I buy a 2023 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It keeps the GX’s traditional V8, body-on-frame character, and off-road focus intact.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $46,968, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $55,008 average.
• It delivers the same rugged, capability-first formula with standard V8 power and four-wheel drive.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-year pricing, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front and you’re comfortable with the older GX formula, the 2022 is the value-oriented alternative.
