2023 Kia EV6
GT-Line RWD

Overview
The 2023 Kia EV6 is a dynamic and versatile hatchback electric vehicle (EV). With an all-electric powertrain and athletic handling, the EV6 proves that an electric car does not have to cost six figures to be a spirited performance machine. The EV6 is technically a crossover, but in reality, it’s a broad hatchback that provides up to 50.2 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, the EV6 provides 24.4 cubic feet of cargo space. For 2023, a performance-oriented GT trim joins the EV6 lineup, boasting additional power at the cost of range.
Trims for the EV6 are Wind, GT-Line, and the new range-topping GT. Standard features on the EV6 Wind include 19-inch alloy wheels, a smart power liftgate, LED headlights, a fully digital instrument panel, dual-zone climate control, remote start, push-button start, a Wi-Fi hotspot, vegan leather upholstery, and wireless device charging. It also comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and navigation.
The GT-Line is a sportier take on the EV6 and adds a power sunroof, power-retractable door handles, a head-up display, a sport steering wheel, and navigation-based cruise control. The new range-topping GT trim added an electronically controlled suspension, 21-inch alloy wheels, and unique sporty design elements.
The EV6 comes equipped with a 77.4-kWh battery pack. It routes power either to a single motor at the rear wheels, or to a dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) setup. In the Wind and GT-Line, the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) platform makes 225 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the AWD version makes a combined 320 horsepower and 446 pound-feet of torque. The new EV6 GT comes standard with a more potent AWD setup, putting out 576 horsepower and 545 pound-feet of torque. The EV6 GT can sprint from zero to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and can hit a top speed of 131 mph. The EV6 GT also features a “Drift Mode” that puts emphasis on the rear motor for a more enthusiast-oriented driving experience.
The base RWD version of the EV6 provides the most range, delivering up to 310 miles. The all-wheel-drive version brings the range down to 282 miles. The GT-Line AWD provides 252 miles, and the GT trim provides 206 miles. Using a Level 2 charger, the EV6 can be fully charged in about seven hours. The EV6 also has DC fast charging that can charge the battery up from 10 percent to 80 percent in a mere 18 minutes.
Standard driver-assistance features for the 2023 Kia EV6 include automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic high beams, driver attention alert, lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear parking sensors. Available driver-assistance features include a 360-degree parking camera, front parking sensors, a blind-spot camera system, and even remote parking assist, which allows you to back up the car while standing outside it, using the key fob. The battery is backed by a 10-year/100,000-mile warranty.

- Deal availability: 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,360 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $25,398.77, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2023 Kia EV6's resale value?
The current average of $27,850 sits slightly below last year's $29,199.
That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale may depend heavily on how well the market holds up. If prices stay stable, a well-priced purchase today could limit depreciation pressure later. Strong condition and clean history should matter even more if you plan to sell within a few years.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.82/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2023 Kia EV6 or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2023 if:
- 38.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.62% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.82/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
Consider the 2022 if:
- At $23,086, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $27,850 average.
- It offers a distinctive first-year EV6 experience with strong style and tech appeal.
The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the better-balanced shopping environment, stronger deal availability, and a broad pool of clean listings. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2022 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition and can live with its older-model-year tradeoffs.
