Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearFort Collins, CO

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 11.74% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,335 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a larger, more spacious take on Jeep’s full-size SUV formula, with an extra foot of length, more wheelbase, longer rear doors, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row. In testing, it comes across as powerful and comfortable, with plenty of cargo space to match its size.

The trade-offs are worth weighing: significant turbo lag can blunt response, the voice recognition system is dissatisfying, and Active Drive Assist is unavailable.

With 37.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wagoneer L’s reliability case is helped by its comfortable, refined driving character and the fact that Jeep describes the new twin-turbo inline-six as smoother and quieter than the outgoing V8. The engine is also presented as more efficient than the base Wagoneer’s V8, which can matter over long ownership.

Jeep also includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which can reduce early ownership hassle and help keep routine maintenance predictable.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a large, highly optioned SUV can become expensive to keep up if prior maintenance was skipped or if complex features were not cared for properly.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper history review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the powertrain, electronics, and any signs of heavy use, especially on a large SUV that may have been asked to haul people, cargo, or tow regularly.

Pay close attention to how the cabin equipment works, since this model leans heavily on technology and convenience features. Also inspect the tires, brakes, and suspension for wear that could reflect the vehicle’s size and use pattern.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, while higher trims add more driver-assistance and parking features.
• Powertrain: The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six makes 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Jeep says it should return 20 mpg in combined driving with 2WD and 19 mpg with 4WD.
• Safety package: The standard suite includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, and higher trims add automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, a semi-autonomous parking assistance system, and Intersection Collision Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging on Series II and up, and a standard 10.25-inch digital instrument display. The system also includes Amazon Alexa integration, navigation, and USB ports in all three rows.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Hurricane engine should get 20 mpg combined with 2WD and 19 mpg combined with 4WD, and it is described as improving fuel economy versus the outgoing V8.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, but it already gives you the core Wagoneer L formula: the extra-long body, the new twin-turbo inline-six, and the standard safety and infotainment equipment. If you want the lowest starting price and do not need the added convenience features, this is the trim to start with.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability, Active Lane Management, and wireless device charging, while keeping the Wagoneer L’s core space and powertrain advantages. If you want the most balanced mix of equipment and value, this is the one to target.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the Wagoneer L and are willing to pay for it. It sits at the top of the range and is the trim to consider if you want the fullest feature set.

Safety-related upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, a semi-autonomous parking assistance system, and Intersection Collision Assist.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,335 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.74% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,175, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $36,175 sits slightly below last year's $40,987.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point in the cycle. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and equipment rather than on broad market appreciation.

Because the Wagoneer L is a large, premium SUV with strong utility, well-kept examples should remain appealing to shoppers who need space and capability. The current pricing trend, though, means you may not see the same level of return that a seller might have expected a year ago.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

There are plenty of safety features aboard the Wagoneer L, including forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go capability and Active Lane Management, which includes lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance.

Higher trims add automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, a semi-autonomous parking assistance system, and Intersection Collision Assist. During testing, the driving-assistance and collision-avoidance features worked as expected.

One important caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable on the Wagoneer L, which leaves it behind some direct rivals that offer hands-free driving assistance.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.74% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year brings the extra-long Wagoneer L body, the new twin-turbo inline-six, and the added cargo space that define this version.

The bottom line: If you want the extra space, the newer powertrain, and a market that has already softened, the 2023 is the right place to focus. If you are especially price-sensitive, keep an eye on listings near the low end of the range and be ready to move quickly when you find a clean, well-equipped example.
