Used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L cost?

Prices have softened 11.69% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,363 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.00/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance and Form and function.

It stands out as a larger, more spacious take on Jeep’s full-size SUV formula, with an extra foot of length, more wheelbase, longer rear doors, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row. In testing, it comes across as powerful and comfortable, with plenty of cargo space to match its size.

The trade-offs are that significant turbo lag can blunt response, the voice recognition system is disappointing, and Active Drive Assist is unavailable.

With 34.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Wagoneer L’s appeal centers on its roomy packaging, quiet cabin, and strong powertrain, all of which support a reassuring ownership experience if you want a large SUV that can carry people and gear with less compromise. The twin-turbo inline-six is described as smooth, quiet, and refined, and Jeep also says it improves fuel efficiency versus the outgoing V8.

Jeep includes five years of complimentary scheduled oil changes and tire rotations, which helps reduce early ownership costs.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is that a complex, heavily optioned full-size SUV can become expensive if prior maintenance was skipped or if you end up needing repairs on advanced equipment.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on the powertrain, electronics, and any optional equipment, especially if the SUV has been heavily optioned. Pay close attention to cabin condition, wheel and tire wear, and signs that the vehicle was used for frequent family hauling or towing.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base trim gives you the core Wagoneer L experience, while Series II adds more convenience and driver-assistance equipment. Series III sits above that with additional luxury content, so the best-value choice depends on how much you want beyond the standard equipment.
• Powertrain: The twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six makes 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, and Jeep says it improves fuel efficiency versus the outgoing V8. It is smooth and refined, but turbo lag is noticeable from a stop.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, while higher-level safety upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.
• Infotainment: You get a 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless device charging on Series II and up, and over-the-air-connected services through the system’s broader feature set.
• Fuel efficiency: Jeep says the Hurricane engine should return 20 mpg in combined driving with 2WD and 19 mpg with 4WD.

Which 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L is offered in 3 trim levels: base, Series II, and Series III.

Here's the short version:

• base: This is the entry point, and it gives you the core Wagoneer L formula with the big-space packaging and standard safety equipment. It makes sense if you want the lowest starting point and do not need the extra convenience and driver-assistance features added higher up.
• Series II: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go, Active Lane Management, and wireless device charging, building on the already strong standard equipment list.
• Series III: Choose this if you want the most upscale version of the Wagoneer L and are willing to pay for the added luxury content.

The safety-package upgrades arrive as you move up from the base trim to Series II, so that is the key trim-level step to watch.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,363 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.69% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 87.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $36,124, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L's resale value?

The current average of $36,124 sits slightly below last year's $40,904.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also mean future resale gains are more limited if depreciation continues at the same pace. For a future seller, the upside is that the Wagoneer L still has strong appeal thanks to its space, comfort, and capability. The downside is that large SUVs can be sensitive to market swings, especially when new-model pricing and incentives shift.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L safe?

The 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

There are plenty of standard driver-assistance features, including forward-collision warning with pedestrian and cyclist detection, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and front and rear parking sensors with automatic braking. Series II adds adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go and Active Lane Management, and higher-level safety upgrades include automatic high-beam headlights, a surround-view camera system, semi-autonomous parking assistance, and Intersection Collision Assist.

One important caveat is that Active Drive Assist is unavailable on this model year, so if you want more advanced hands-free-style assistance, you will need to look elsewhere.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer L or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 87.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.69% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model brings the new twin-turbo inline-six, extra interior room, and a 35-percent increase in cargo capacity behind the third row.

The bottom line: If you want the most spacious version of the Wagoneer formula and you value the newer engine and added cargo room, the 2023 is the right path. If you are mainly shopping on price, a later or earlier nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2023 remains the one to target when you want the full-size space advantage and a softer used-market price.
