How much does the 2023 Jeep Gladiator cost?

Prices have softened 3.83% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,887 listings available, which suggests you have a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Jeep Gladiator earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 6.5/10 expert rating. The model scores 8/10 across Performance, Form and function, and Technology.

Owners consistently praise its smooth ride, off-road capability, and the way it blends ruggedness with technology. The Gladiator’s personality and utility also stand out, especially if you want a truck that feels more open-air and adventurous than a conventional midsize pickup.

The trade-offs are clear: it can be noisy, and its price is high. It also makes the most sense if you value its unique mix of everyday hauling and off-road character rather than pure refinement.

Good and great deals account for 36.8% of listings, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. User feedback points to a truck that feels dependable in daily use, with owners highlighting its smooth ride, off-road capability, and ruggedness over time.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Gladiator is built for durability-minded buyers who want a truck that can handle rough terrain and still serve as a practical hauler. If you want a vehicle with a strong personality and a loyal owner base, that helps support confidence in long-term ownership.

For used buyers, the main risk is less about outright reliability and more about whether the truck’s condition and equipment match how hard it was used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check each listing carefully, because a truck like this may have been used for towing, trail driving, or other demanding work. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and pay close attention to signs of wear on the suspension, tires, underbody, and cabin.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup spans nine trim levels, from the basic Sport to the High Altitude. The base trim is the most stripped-down, while higher trims add more equipment and capability, including features like a winch-capable steel front bumper, steel rock rails, and a front off-road camera system on certain versions.
• Powertrain: The Gladiator offers a standard 285-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 and an available 260-horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. The diesel is aimed at better fuel economy, while the gas V6 is paired with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic.
• Safety package: The optional Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group adds adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights, but lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assistance are not offered.
• Infotainment: A 7-inch touchscreen is standard with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a USB data and charging port, and an eight-speaker stereo. An available 8.4-inch system adds navigation, connected services, Wi-Fi hotspot access, Alexa integration, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a nine-speaker Alpine premium sound system.
• Fuel efficiency: The optional EcoDiesel turbodiesel returns 24 mpg in combined driving, and the gas V6 in the test model was rated at 19 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Jeep Gladiator trim should I buy?

The 2023 Jeep Gladiator is offered in 9 trim levels: Sport, Sport S, Willys, Mojave, Rubicon, Freedom Edition, High Altitude, and the trims referenced through the lineup updates and test vehicle equipment.

Here's the short version:

• Sport: This is the entry point, so it makes sense if you want the Gladiator’s core open-air personality and utility at the lowest starting price.
• Sport S: This is the best-value trim if you want a more balanced mix of everyday usability and available equipment without jumping too far up the price ladder.
• Willys: Choose this if you want extra off-road flavor and added equipment over the lower trims.
• Mojave: This is the one to buy if you care most about high-speed off-road capability and want the most specialized suspension tuning in the lineup.
• Rubicon: Pick this if your priority is serious trail hardware and maximum off-road capability.

The Safety Group and Advanced Safety Group are worth considering on any trim, especially if you want more driver-assistance coverage.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Gladiator?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,887 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.83% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 88.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,086, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator's resale value?

The current average of $33,086 sits slightly below last year's $34,405.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means future sellers may need to be realistic about expectations. If you buy at a strong price and keep the truck in clean condition, you may be better positioned when it comes time to sell.

The Gladiator’s unique appeal can help support demand, especially among shoppers who want its open-air setup and off-road character. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Jeep Gladiator safe?

The Jeep Gladiator earns a four-star rating for frontal-impact protection from NHTSA and a Marginal headlight result from IIHS. It also earns a three-star rollover resistance rating from NHTSA.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

The optional Safety Group adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear parking sensors. The Advanced Safety Group builds on that with adaptive cruise control, forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam headlights.

A key caveat is that the Gladiator does not offer lane-departure warning or lane-keeping assistance, and its headlights are a weak point.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Gladiator or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model stands out for its removable top and doors, plus available diesel power and strong towing capability.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $36,848, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $33,086 average.
• It adds minor styling revisions and next-generation infotainment technology.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter starting point because it combines lower pricing with the Gladiator’s core strengths. If you want newer tech and can spend more, the 2024 is the better fit.
