Used 2023 Jeep Cherokee for Sale nearBuffalo, NY

How much does the 2023 Jeep Cherokee cost?

Prices have held steady compared to this time last year, signaling a stable and predictable market for this model year.

There are 1,075 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for a used SUV in this class. The 2023 Jeep Cherokee stands out as a compact SUV that blends everyday usability with genuine Jeep character, and it still offers all-weather traction and adventure-minded appeal for buyers who want more capability than a typical small crossover. It also remains a value-oriented choice compared with newer Jeep models that can be more expensive. With 40.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find a competitive price.

Is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 Cherokee’s long-running strengths are tempered by its reputation for poor efficiency and by transmission issues that affected early third-generation models, so reliability-minded shoppers should treat the test drive as a key part of the evaluation. That means you should pay close attention to how the transmission behaves in everyday driving, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long haul.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should confirm the vehicle history report first, then prioritize a thorough inspection of the transmission and overall drivability. Focus on how the SUV shifts, accelerates, and behaves at low speeds and on the highway, since those are the kinds of conditions that can reveal issues a quick walkaround will miss. It also makes sense to check the condition of the interior and electronics so you know the vehicle matches its asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Jeep Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,075 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 85.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $22,026, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Jeep Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $23,513 sits slightly above last year's $23,355.

That small increase suggests the Cherokee has held its value reasonably well in the near term, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. A stable price trend can help support resale confidence because it shows buyers are still willing to pay close to current market levels. The model’s value-oriented positioning and distinctive Jeep identity also help keep it relevant in the used market.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Jeep Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 40.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.5% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have held steady compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the most current version of this Cherokee generation with a stable price trend and a solid pool of accident-free listings, the 2023 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but you should still compare condition, history, and transmission behavior carefully before choosing the cheapest option.
