You should start with a history report to confirm there are no hidden accidents, title issues, or major repairs. • Price trend: Prices have softened 3.25% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Honda Passport's resale value?

The current average of $32,340 sits slightly below last year's $33,428.

That softer pricing suggests the Passport has already moved off its prior peak, which can help you as a buyer today but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. On the other hand, the model’s strong owner satisfaction and practical appeal should help it stay attractive to used shoppers. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle well, you are more likely to preserve value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Passport or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.7% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $29,181, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $32,340 average.
• It adds a light restyle and TrailSport trim.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $35,442, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $32,340 average.
• It keeps the formula simple with refreshed, easy-to-use tech.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the best balance of owner satisfaction, inventory depth, and current pricing. If your priority is spending less, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense only if you want to pay more for the newer model year.
