How much does the 2023 Honda Civic cost?

Prices have softened 1.39% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,949 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Honda Civic earns a 4.88/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise its comfort, fuel efficiency, roomy interior, and strong performance. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a practical compact car that still feels polished and upscale rather than plain. With 34.4% of listings marked as good or great deals, you also have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2023 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable in daily use, with comfort and fuel efficiency standing out as recurring strengths. Reviews also suggest many owners are happy enough with the Civic to recommend it over the long term, even if some wish for more equipment. For used buyers, that usually means lower ownership risk if you verify condition and maintenance history before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Honda Civic?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection if the car has any signs of prior damage or inconsistent maintenance. Pay close attention to interior condition, feature operation, and whether the equipment matches what you expect from the trim level. Since some owners mention missing features on certain versions, it’s worth confirming the exact equipment on the specific car you’re considering.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Honda Civic?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without expecting deep discounts everywhere.

• Deal availability: 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,949 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.39% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 80.8% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,181, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $24,019 sits slightly below last year's $24,356.

That modest decline suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you as a buyer now but may slightly temper near-term resale gains if you plan to sell soon. Even so, the Civic’s strong owner satisfaction and broad appeal should help support demand when it’s your turn to resell. Cars that stay popular with owners tend to move more easily on the used market, which helps protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 80.8% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.39% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $22,176, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $24,019 average.
• The redesign brought strong handling and impressive technology.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $25,026, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $24,019 average.
• It sharpens the Civic into a more engaging enthusiast sedan.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2023 is the primary path to consider. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense only if you want to spend more for a more performance-focused setup.
