How much does the 2023 Genesis GV70 cost?

Is the 2023 Genesis GV70 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Genesis GV70 earns a 5/5 user rating and a 7.8/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Cost effectiveness and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the luxury feel, technology, and performance, and they also like the smooth ride quality on longer trips. The cabin quality and premium features come through strongly in owner feedback, while the driving experience is described as refined and enjoyable. On the other hand, the styling gets mixed reactions and the technology can feel overwhelming at times.

That lines up with the GV70’s use case as a compact luxury SUV that aims to feel upscale and well equipped without losing comfort or everyday usability. With 33.0% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market still gives you some room to shop selectively.

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that feels premium, smooth, and dependable enough to inspire confidence over time. The expert evaluation also emphasizes the GV70’s well-rounded nature and strong craftsmanship, which supports the impression that it’s built to be a solid long-term companion. Genesis also backs the GV70 with a generous 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty, which is a meaningful ownership perk.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about basic durability and more about choosing a well-kept example with the right equipment and condition.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Genesis GV70?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a proper records review. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on electronics, interior condition, and how the vehicle’s features operate in real use. Pay close attention to whether the trim and package content matches what you expect, since the GV70’s equipment mix changes meaningfully by version.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base 2.5T comes well equipped with power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, synthetic leather upholstery, four USB ports, wireless device charging, a hands-free power liftgate, remote start, remote keyless entry, and adaptive cruise control. The Select Package adds a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof, while the Advance Package adds genuine leather upholstery, ambient cabin lighting, an upgraded stereo, rear sunshades, and a wall-style power outlet. The 3.5T adds genuine leather upholstery, 19-inch alloy wheels, a wall-style power outlet, massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and performance-inspired touches inside and out.
• Powertrain: The turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder makes 300 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque, while the twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 makes 375 horsepower and 391 pound-feet of torque. Both engines use an eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive. The turbo-four is strong enough for most driving, while the V6 is the better pick if you want extra punch.
• Safety package: The GV70 includes forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, driver attention monitoring, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert. On the 2.5T, the Advance Package adds a blind-spot camera system, reverse automatic emergency braking, and a 360-degree parking camera system. On the 3.5T, those features come with the Sport Advance package.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses a 14.5-inch touchscreen with navigation, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. It also includes a rotary dial and center-console buttons, plus four USB ports, wireless device charging, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. The system is feature-rich, but the rotary controller’s placement can be confusing.
• Fuel efficiency: The four-cylinder returns 22 mpg city, 28 highway, and 24 combined. The V6 returns 19 mpg city, 24 highway, and 21 combined. Genesis recommends premium fuel for both engines.

Which 2023 Genesis GV70 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Genesis GV70 is offered in 2 trim levels: 2.5T and 3.5T.

Here's the short version:

• 2.5T: This is the best-value choice if you want the GV70’s core luxury experience without paying for the stronger engine. It already brings a long list of standard features, including heated front seats, wireless charging, adaptive cruise control, and a hands-free power liftgate, so you get a lot for the money.
• 3.5T: Choose this if you want the more powerful engine and a richer standard equipment list. It adds genuine leather upholstery, massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, and performance-inspired touches, making it the better fit if you want the most upscale version.

On the safety side, the Advance Package adds important driver-assistance upgrades on the 2.5T, while the 3.5T gets those features through the Sport Advance package.

• Inventory: There are 1,178 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.66% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Genesis GV70's resale value?

The current average of $34,386 sits slightly below last year's $38,062.

That price movement suggests the GV70 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you purchase near the current average or below it, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell. Should I buy a 2023 Genesis GV70 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.66% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It adds an all-electric version to the lineup while keeping the GV70’s upscale cabin and strong feature set.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $31,184, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,386 average.
• It introduced the GV70 with bold design and a clear standard-versus-upgrade powertrain choice.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $39,250, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,386 average.
• It broadens the appeal with stylish design, strong tech, and an all-electric powertrain option.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and current-market availability, the 2023 is the smart default. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 can save you money while keeping the GV70 formula intact. If you want the newest take with broader powertrain choice, the 2024 is worth a look.
