Used 2023 Dodge Durango for Sale nearPort Huron, MI

How much does the 2023 Dodge Durango cost?

Prices are up 7.83% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 4,081 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Durango earns a 4.67/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

Owners consistently praise its styling, powerful performance, and spaciousness. The review summary also points to a comfortable ride and strong gas mileage from the V6, which broadens its appeal beyond the V8-focused versions.

The trade-offs are clear: the interior quality can feel lacking, especially in the back seat, and depreciation has been a concern for some owners. That makes the Durango especially appealing if you want a three-row SUV with a more aggressive image and strong powertrain choices, rather than the most polished family hauler.

Good and great deals account for 36.9% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities in the market.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango reliable?

Owners rate it 4.67/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many people find dependable, with praise centered on its strong performance and spaciousness. The review summary also highlights the V6’s efficiency and the comfort of the ride, both of which can support a more trouble-free ownership experience if you choose the right configuration.

The expert evaluation also notes that the Durango’s long-running platform has been kept alive with periodic updates, which helps it stay current enough for daily use. On the cost side, the warranty coverage is straightforward, but the model’s higher-output engines and older design mean you should pay close attention to maintenance records and overall condition before buying used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any candidate, even if the listing looks clean at first glance. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because the Durango’s equipment and powertrain choices vary a lot by trim, and condition can differ widely from one example to the next. Focus on how well the interior, electronics, and drivetrain have been maintained, especially on higher-mileage or higher-performance versions.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base SXT is the most stripped-down version, while higher trims add more comfort and appearance equipment. The Citadel stands out for more luxurious features, and the SRT models bring the most aggressive styling and performance-focused hardware.
• Powertrain: You can choose from a V6, a 5.7-liter V8, a 6.4-liter V8, or a supercharged 6.2-liter V8. The V6 is the efficiency play, while the V8s deliver much stronger acceleration at the cost of fuel economy.
• Safety package: Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard, but forward collision warning, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and are not available on the base SXT.
• Infotainment: SXT and GT models use an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto, and Bluetooth. Citadel and the two SRT models upgrade to a 10.1-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto, plus the newer Uconnect 5 system.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V6 with rear-wheel drive is rated at 21 mpg combined. Fuel economy drops to 17 mpg combined with the 5.7-liter V8, 15 mpg combined with the 6.4-liter V8, and 13 mpg combined with the supercharged 6.2-liter engine.

Which 2023 Dodge Durango trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Durango is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Citadel, SRT 392.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the Durango’s core three-row utility at the lowest price. It’s the trim to consider if you want the styling and space without paying for the more expensive powertrains or luxury features, but it also misses out on several advanced safety features.
• GT: This is the best-value choice for many shoppers because it adds more equipment while staying on the V6 side of the lineup. It also can be dressed up with appearance packages, so you can get a more aggressive look without jumping to a V8.
• R/T: This is the right pick if you want the 5.7-liter V8 and the stronger performance that comes with it. It suits you best if the Durango’s muscle-car personality matters more than fuel economy.
• Citadel: This is the comfort-focused choice, with more upscale interior content and the most complete safety package in the lineup. It’s the trim to target if you want a more premium-feeling Durango and value driver-assistance features.
• SRT 392: This is the performance-first trim, with the most serious naturally aspirated V8 power and the most aggressive hardware. It makes sense if you want the quickest, most enthusiast-oriented Durango and are willing to accept the trade-offs that come with it.

The Citadel is the trim where the safety package is most complete, while the base SXT leaves some driver-assistance features unavailable.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Durango?

This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you should shop carefully and compare listings before moving quickly.

• Deal availability: 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,081 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.83% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 86.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $29,841, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Durango's resale value?

The current average of $33,380 sits slightly above last year's $30,958.

That upward move suggests the Durango has held buyer interest well enough to support stronger pricing than a year ago. For a future seller, that can be a positive sign, especially if your vehicle is clean, well maintained, and equipped with a desirable trim or powertrain.

The market still shows a meaningful spread between the low and high end of the year-round range, which means condition and configuration matter a lot. If you keep mileage reasonable and maintain the vehicle carefully, you’re more likely to land near the stronger end of the resale spectrum.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.67/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Durango safe?

The 2023 Dodge Durango earns top "Good" marks in the original-format moderate front overlap and side tests, as well as the roof strength test, but it received a "Marginal" score in the driver-side small overlap front test. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave it a four-star overall safety rating, with five-star ratings in the side crash test, four-star ratings in the frontal crash test, and four-star ratings in the rollover test for RWD versions; AWD models got a three-star rollover rating.

It earns a 4/10 safety score from our experts.

Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert are standard on all trim levels. Forward collision warning is standard only on the Citadel and available as an option on other models, while lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and automatic emergency braking are standard only on the Citadel and not available on the base SXT.

The small-overlap front result is the main caution point here, and the limited standard driver-assistance content means you should pay close attention to trim choice if safety tech matters to you.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Durango or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.83% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.67/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The return of the Durango SRT Hellcat as a regular production model makes this year especially notable for shoppers who want the most dramatic performance option.

The bottom line: The 2023 Durango is the better pick if you want this SUV’s mix of style, space, and muscle-car personality, especially with the year’s standout performance news. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby model year may still make sense, but you should expect to give up some of the 2023-specific appeal and compare condition carefully before deciding.
