Used 2023 Dodge Charger for Sale near New York

How much does the 2023 Dodge Charger cost?

Prices are up 15.18% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 3,488 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Charger earns a 4.5/5 user rating and a 7.83/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. The car also earns praise for its aesthetic and features, which helps explain why it still appeals despite its age.

The trade-offs are clear: the Charger has outdated technology and poor fuel economy, and the base engine is described as underwhelming. It fits you best if you want a full-size sedan with a strong personality and traditional gas-powered muscle-car character rather than the newest tech-heavy alternative.

Good and great deals make up 31.1% of listings, so there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner summary points to a car people feel good about living with, especially because of its powerful performance, comfortable seating, and spacious interior. It also suggests the Charger is a model many buyers feel confident keeping for the long haul, even if some shoppers worry about safety features and the lack of a spare tire.

The expert evaluation also emphasizes that the Charger’s powertrain and driving character are a major part of its appeal, with a smooth automatic transmission and strong highway efficiency for the V6 models. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that age-related wear and dated technology may matter more as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. A pre-purchase inspection matters here because the Charger’s age, performance focus, and trim spread can hide meaningful differences in condition and equipment. Pay close attention to how the cabin, electronics, and braking components have held up.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base car is described as a bit drab on small skinny tires, while V8 versions look the part much more convincingly. The interior is dated overall, with a small touchscreen and old-school switches, so feature content matters a lot when you compare trims.
• Powertrain: The 3.6-liter V6 makes 292 or 300 horsepower depending on trim and is the only engine paired with all-wheel drive. Every other Charger uses a Hemi V8, including a 5.7-liter version with 370 hp and a 6.4-liter version with 485 hp.
• Safety package: Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard. Forward collision warning with emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist, and adaptive cruise control are optional on SXT, GT, R/T, and Scatpack models and unavailable on Hellcats. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is optional only on GT, R/T, and Scatpacks.
• Infotainment: The Charger uses an 8.4-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, voice recognition, and SiriusXM. It does not get the latest Uconnect system, over-the-air updates, or phone-based starting.
• Fuel efficiency: The V6 can deliver up to 30 mpg on the highway, while the 5.7-liter V8 can shut down half its cylinders for a 25-mpg-rated highway cruise. The Hellcat models are far thirstier, with range that can fall to about 250 miles on a tank if you drive aggressively.

Which 2023 Dodge Charger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Charger is offered in 5 trim levels: SXT, GT, R/T, Scatpack, Hellcat.

Here's the short version:

• SXT: This is the entry point, and it gives you the V6 powertrain with the available all-wheel-drive setup. It makes sense if you want the Charger’s size and style at the lowest starting point, but it is also the trim most affected by the car’s dated interior and basic feel.
• GT: This is the better everyday choice if you want a little more equipment and access to more safety options than the SXT. It sits in the middle of the lineup and is a sensible step up if you want the Charger experience without jumping straight to V8 pricing.
• R/T: This is where the Charger’s character starts to feel properly muscular, thanks to the 5.7-liter V8. It suits you if you want the classic V8 sound and stronger performance without going all the way to the most extreme trims.
• Scatpack: This is the best-value performance pick if you want the 6.4-liter V8 and the most satisfying all-around muscle-car experience. It adds the kind of power and braking hardware that make the Charger feel special, especially if you care more about driving excitement than tech.
• Hellcat: This is the wildest version, with supercharged power and the most outrageous performance in the lineup. It makes sense if you want maximum straight-line drama and are willing to accept the trade-offs in efficiency and everyday practicality.

Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard, while several driver-assistance features remain optional on lower trims and unavailable on Hellcats.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Charger?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,488 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 15.18% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 78.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $30,128, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Charger's resale value?

The current average of $34,882 sits slightly above last year's $30,284.

That price increase suggests the Charger has held buyer interest well, which can help support resale value if you own one and decide to sell later. A model year that is still rising in price often benefits from steady demand, especially when it has a strong enthusiast following.

The year-round range also shows that buyers are willing to pay a premium for the right example, which can help sellers who keep their car in good condition. Trim, mileage, and overall presentation will matter a lot, but the market is clearly still rewarding this model year.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Charger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Charger earns four-star ratings in frontal crash and side barrier and pole intrusion tests, and five-star ratings for rear passengers in those side tests from NHTSA.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Rear parking sensors and a backup camera are standard, but the camera is described as fuzzy.

The IIHS results are described as Good in many categories, but the testing reference is based on a different vehicle, so you should treat that information cautiously when shopping used.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Charger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 78.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 15.18% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 is the Charger’s final-year sendoff, with limited-edition Last Call models adding extra appeal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $28,903, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $34,882 average.
• It offers a big, old-school performance sedan character with muscular proportions and traditional rear-drive appeal.

The bottom line: If you want the final-year Charger with strong demand, solid inventory, and the appeal of a model that is leaving the market, the 2023 is the one to target. If your priority is saving money and you mainly want the Charger’s core personality, the 2022 is the smarter value play.
