Used 2023 Dodge Challenger for Sale nearOmaha, NE

How much does the 2023 Dodge Challenger cost?

Prices are up 3.61% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,544 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Dodge Challenger earns a 4.81/5 user rating and a 7.17/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Performance at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the powerful performance, fun driving experience, and modern tech features. They also highlight the ample legroom and trunk space, and many feel it stands out in the muscle car segment for value.

That lines up with the Challenger’s final-year identity: it is built for buyers who want a muscle car with big personality, strong straight-line punch, and a cabin that still feels usable day to day. The trade-offs are clear, though, with poor fuel economy and outdated technology among the main compromises.

Good and great deals account for 31.2% of listings, so there are still some attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger reliable?

Owners rate it 4.81/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a car that feels powerful, fun, and strong on value, while also suggesting that many drivers are happy enough with the overall experience to recommend it. The expert evaluation also describes the Challenger as a time capsule that has held up remarkably well considering its age, which supports the idea that it can be a dependable choice if you buy the right example.

The Challenger’s straightforward, old-school character can work in your favor for long-term ownership, but you should still expect higher running costs and more wear-related risk on used examples that have been driven hard.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any car you are serious about, because a muscle car like this may have seen enthusiastic use. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on wear, signs of hard driving, and the condition of the brakes, tires, and suspension. You should also pay close attention to how complete the safety equipment is, since this model’s feature set varies a lot by trim.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Black Ghost sits at the top of the range with premium materials such as Laguna semi-aniline leather, simulated suede, and genuine carbon fiber trim, but the cabin still leans heavily on older plastics and limited modern tech. Base trims are much more stripped down, so you should check carefully for the equipment you want before assuming a lower-priced car will feel similarly equipped.
• Powertrain: The Black Ghost uses a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 with 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque, and the broader Challenger lineup is defined by its horsepower-first personality. The expert evaluation also notes that the car rides and handles better than you might expect thanks to adaptive damping suspension, stout Brembo performance brakes, and sticky Pirelli tires.
• Safety package: The Black Ghost includes a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable on the SRT Hellcat Redeye and, by extension, the Black Ghost.
• Infotainment: The Black Ghost uses an 8.4-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming audio, navigation, and a Harman Kardon premium sound system. The interface is intuitive, but the voice-recognition system is dated.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert evaluation cites 15 mpg in combined driving, and the test loop returned 15.7 mpg.

Which 2023 Dodge Challenger trim should I buy?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger is offered in 1 trim level: Black Ghost.

Here's the short version:

The Black Ghost: This is the rarest and most exclusive version discussed here, with limited production, 807 hp, and a heavy emphasis on retro styling and premium details. It suits you if you want the most collectible, most dramatic Challenger experience and are willing to accept the model’s age, limited safety tech, and high running costs.

The safety-package note is simple: advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, and several key systems are unavailable on this trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Dodge Challenger?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly when you find the right car.

• Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,544 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.61% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 83.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $41,205, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Dodge Challenger's resale value?

The current average of $43,087 sits slightly above last year's $41,587.

That upward move suggests the market still values this final-year Challenger, especially as a last-call muscle car with strong enthusiast appeal. For a future seller, that can help support demand if your car is well kept, clean, and equipped with desirable features or special-edition appeal.

The price range also shows there is still room for variation, so condition and trim will matter a lot when you eventually resell. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.81/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Dodge Challenger safe?

The 2023 Dodge Challenger earns favorable ratings only in two outdated frontal- and side-impact tests from IIHS, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gives the car high marks but hasn’t updated its crash-test standards in over a decade.

It earns a 3/10 safety score from our experts.

The Challenger’s safety equipment is limited on this trim. You get traction and stability control, a low-resolution reversing camera, rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and Ready Alert Braking. Forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control are unavailable.

That means you should treat safety as a major trade-off if you are shopping used. The car can protect you in a collision, but it does not surround you with the kind of standard driver assistance you may expect in newer vehicles.

Should I buy a 2023 Dodge Challenger or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 3.61% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.81/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 model year is the Challenger’s final year, with special-edition “Last Call” models and the headline SRT Demon 170 making 1,025 horsepower.

The bottom line: If you want the last and most emotionally compelling version of the Challenger, the 2023 is the one to target. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years for a lower entry cost, but you will give up some of the final-year cachet and special-edition appeal that make this model year stand out.
