Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette earns 4.8/5 from owners and 8.2/10 from our experts. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its impressive looks, powerful performance, and strong value for the money. Many also compare it favorably with far more expensive exotic brands, which reinforces how much performance you get for the price.

The trade-offs are real: the cockpit is cramped, and the layout can feel confusing. Even so, the Corvette’s mid-engine setup, dramatic styling, and everyday usability make it a compelling choice if you want serious pace without moving into true exotic-car territory.

There are 36.3% good or great deals in the market, which suggests you can still find attractive pricing if you shop carefully.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels impressive, value-packed, and capable enough to earn comparisons with much pricier performance cars. That kind of praise usually lines up with a vehicle that owners feel good about living with over time.

The Corvette’s performance also comes across as composed and confidence-inspiring, with quick acceleration and precise cornering that feel engineered rather than fragile. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about basic dependability and more about whether a given car has been maintained carefully and used within its limits.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Corvette?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a vehicle history report and verify that the car’s condition matches its asking price. Pay close attention to signs of hard use, especially on a sports car that may have been driven aggressively or modified.

A pre-purchase inspection is worth prioritizing, particularly for the drivetrain, tires, brakes, and any optional equipment. You’ll also want to make sure the cabin, roof, and electronics all work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The lineup includes Coupe and Convertible body styles, with 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trims. The base 1LT gives you 19-inch front wheels, 20-inch rear wheels, a fully digital instrument panel, eight-way power GT1 bucket seats, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen, and a Bose 10-speaker stereo. The 2LT adds navigation, a performance data and video recorder, a 14-speaker Bose stereo, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, lumbar control, wireless charging, interior cargo nets, and a head-up display. The 3LT adds GT2 bucket seats and more soft-touch leather surfaces. The 2LT is the best-value trim if you want the most meaningful comfort and tech upgrades.
• Powertrain: The Corvette uses a mid-mounted naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 with 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque, paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic and rear-wheel drive. The optional Performance Exhaust raises output to 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. The Z51 Performance Package adds a performance rear-axle ratio, heavy-duty cooling, an electronic limited-slip differential, performance tires, and an upgraded rear spoiler.
• Safety package: The car comes standard with a backup camera, front- and side-impact airbags, and rear parking sensors. The 2LT adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear camera mirror. There are no modern driver-assistance features such as forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, or automatic high beams.
• Infotainment: The standard setup is an 8-inch touchscreen with Chevy’s Infotainment 3 system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a logical menu layout. The screen is tilted toward the driver, and the system also includes a fully digital instrument panel and a helpful head-up display.
• Fuel efficiency: The base V8 returns 16 mpg city, 24 mpg highway, and 19 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Corvette trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette is offered in 3 trim levels: 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT.

Here's the short version:

• 1LT: This is the entry point, but it still gives you the core Corvette experience with the digital gauge cluster, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen, and the Bose audio system. It makes sense if you want the lowest-cost way into the model and can live without the comfort and convenience upgrades.
• 2LT: This is the best-value trim because it adds the features most buyers are likely to notice every day, including navigation, heated and ventilated seats, a heated steering wheel, wireless charging, a head-up display, and the performance data recorder. It also adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and the rear camera mirror.
• 3LT: This trim is for you if you want the most upscale cabin, with GT2 bucket seats and additional soft-touch leather surfaces throughout the interior. It’s the right pick if you care most about cabin finish and are willing to pay more for it.

The 2LT trim is the one that meaningfully improves both comfort and safety equipment over the base car.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Corvette?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you have room to shop, but the best examples still deserve quick action.

• Deal availability: 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,330 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.96% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $76,379, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette's resale value?

The current average of $76,422 sits slightly below last year's $80,407.

That softer pricing can help you as a buyer now, but it also means a future seller may need to be realistic about expectations. If the market continues to favor shoppers, resale values may stay under pressure unless the car is especially well equipped or exceptionally clean.

The Corvette’s strong desirability and broad enthusiast appeal should still help support demand over time. Well-kept examples with desirable equipment and strong presentation are likely to hold attention better than rougher or heavily modified cars.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette safe?

The Corvette comes standard with a backup camera, a full array of front- and side-impact airbags, and rear parking sensors.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

The standard safety setup is basic for the class, and the car does not offer modern driver-assistance features such as forward-collision avoidance, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, or automatic high beams. The 2LT trim adds blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rear camera mirror, which helps, but the overall safety picture still trails more modern rivals.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Corvette or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 36.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.96% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 stands out for its mid-engine layout, strong performance, and everyday usability.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $66,535, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $76,422 average.
• The 2022 is a serious performance car that still feels like a strong value.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market availability, softened pricing, and the Corvette’s mid-engine appeal, the 2023 is the better all-around pick. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2022 remains a smart alternative because it delivers much of the same core experience for less money.
