There are 461 listings available, which suggests a modest amount of inventory for shoppers to compare.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV earns a 4.7/5 user rating and a 6.8/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 8/10.

Owners consistently praise its comfort, impressive battery range, and excellent value for money. They also like the easy-to-use tech and spacious interior, which makes it appealing if you want an affordable EV that works well for family duty and everyday driving.

The trade-offs are that charging speed could be quicker and range could be better, and some owners say the feature set can feel overwhelming at first. In practical terms, this is a strong fit if you want a value-focused EV with useful tech rather than a more premium or performance-oriented alternative.

Only 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so the market still rewards careful shopping.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise centered on comfort, value, and everyday usability. The expert notes also emphasize that the Bolt EUV’s electric setup delivers smooth acceleration and a composed driving experience, which supports confidence in routine use.

Chevrolet also includes a dual-charge cord with 120-volt and 240-volt capability, which makes home charging more convenient. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure the battery and charging system have been cared for properly, especially given the model’s history and the importance of EV battery health.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on an EV where battery condition and charging behavior matter. Focus on signs of consistent charging habits, confirm that the car charges normally at home and on DC fast chargers, and make sure the battery warranty coverage still gives you meaningful protection.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Bolt EUV’s cabin is described as clean and open, with a push-button shifter and a solid-feeling interior. The base setup already includes useful tech and safety equipment, while the Premier trim adds more upscale convenience and driver-assistance content.
• Powertrain: It uses a single electric motor with front-wheel drive, and the setup is tuned more for smooth, easy city driving than for thrills. Output is 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque, and the driving character is lively around town but not especially energetic.
• Safety package: The Chevy Safety Assist Package is standard and includes front pedestrian braking, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, automatic high beams, and following distance indicators. Lower trims can add a Driver Confidence Package with rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alerts, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
• Infotainment: The standard 10.2-inch touchscreen supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the system is described as responsive and easy to use. An 8-inch digital gauge cluster is also standard, and the car can connect to the MyChevrolet smartphone app.
• Range & charging: The battery is a 65-kWh unit with a 247-mile range. DC fast charging can recover up to 95 miles of range in 30 minutes, and the onboard charger is 11.5 kW.
• Battery health: As with any used EV, you should ask how the battery has been charged, whether the car has seen frequent DC fast charging, and whether the battery still behaves normally in daily use. You should also confirm how much of the battery warranty remains and review any service records tied to charging or battery-related repairs.

Which 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV trim should I buy?

The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV is offered in 2 trim levels: LT and Premier.

Here's the short version:

• LT: This is the value play if you want the Bolt EUV’s core strengths without paying for extras. You still get the standard tech and safety foundation, including the Chevy Safety Assist Package and the easy-to-use infotainment setup, which makes it the best-value choice for most shoppers.
• Premier: This is the trim to target if you want the Bolt EUV’s most advanced equipment, including adaptive cruise control, a surround-view camera system, and Super Cruise. It suits you best if you want the most complete version of the Bolt EUV and are willing to pay more for it.

The safety package is standard across the lineup, while the Driver Confidence Package is available on lower trims and Premier adds the most advanced driver-assistance hardware.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 461 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.45% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 88.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,689, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV's resale value?

The current average of $20,910 sits slightly above last year's $20,611.

That modest increase suggests the Bolt EUV has held value reasonably well for a used EV, especially given its affordability and strong feature set. If you buy one well, you should have a decent chance of appealing to future shoppers who want an inexpensive electric crossover with useful tech and strong everyday usability.

The price trend also shows that demand has stayed steady enough to support values rather than push them down sharply. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and battery health will likely matter a lot when it comes time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV safe?

The 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV hasn’t been tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) yet.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The Chevy Safety Assist Package comes standard and includes front pedestrian braking, forward collision alerts, automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, automatic high beams, and following distance indicators. Lower trims can add rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change alerts, and rear cross-traffic alerts through the Driver Confidence Package, while the Premier trim adds adaptive cruise, a surround-view camera system, and Super Cruise.

Super Cruise is the standout safety and driver-assistance feature here, and it gives the Bolt EUV a premium-level advantage in its price range. It still requires you to stay alert and take over when needed, but it meaningfully expands the car’s highway-driving capability.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EUV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 88.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 1.45% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 stands out for its lower pricing and strong value proposition, while still offering advanced driver-assist tech.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $19,795, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $20,910 average.
• It adds Super Cruise to the Bolt EUV formula.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger overall value proposition and the latest pricing context, the 2023 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less up front and you’re comfortable with the older model year, the 2022 is the price-sensitive alternative worth considering.
