Used 2023 Cadillac XT5 for Sale near Arizona

How much does the 2023 Cadillac XT5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.07% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,757 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 Cadillac XT5 earns a 4.9/5 user rating and a 6.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 7/10 across Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its beautiful design, comfort, spacious interior, and smooth driving experience. Those strengths line up with the XT5’s appeal as a premium SUV that gives you a lot of luxury feel without demanding the most money or fuss in the segment.

The trade-offs are that it is not especially exciting to drive and some buyers want more power. The XT5 also has an aging interior, and some trims can ride harshly.

If you want comfort, space, and value more than sharp handling, the XT5 fits that use case well. With 34.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.9/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with drivers highlighting comfort and a strong overall sense of satisfaction. The XT5’s smooth, easygoing character supports that impression, and its practical layout makes it a vehicle you can count on for everyday use.

Cadillac also notes that the XT5’s standard maintenance coverage includes the first scheduled maintenance visit on the house. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the basic ownership experience and more about how well a specific example has been maintained and equipped.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on any XT5 you’re considering, even if the listing looks clean. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the vehicle has higher mileage or optional equipment. Focus on overall condition, since trim and option content can change the ownership experience a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin is intuitively laid out and offers good space across both rows, but the interior can feel dated and the base setup uses synthetic leather upholstery. Higher trims like the XT5 Premium Luxury add genuine leather, heated front and rear seats, and a heated steering wheel.
• Powertrain: The XT5 uses a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder with 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, paired with a nine-speed automatic and either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. An available V6 makes 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque, but the XT5 is still not especially engaging to drive.
• Safety package: Standard safety tech includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert is available, and the Driver Assist Package adds adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.
• Infotainment: The XT5 uses an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus a rotary controller and voice control. It also offers a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, Bose premium audio with 14 speakers, wireless charging, and navigation.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbo-four with front-wheel drive is rated at 22 mpg city, 29 mpg highway, and 24 mpg combined. The available V6 with all-wheel drive is rated at 18 mpg city, 25 mpg highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Which 2023 Cadillac XT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport.

Here's the short version:

• Luxury: This is the entry point, and it gives you the XT5’s core strengths: a spacious cabin, intuitive controls, and a premium feel without pushing the price too high. It makes sense if you want the XT5’s value story and can live without the extra comfort and convenience features.
• Premium Luxury: This is the best-value trim for most shoppers because it adds many desirable features without jumping to the highest-priced version. It also gets genuine leather, heated front and rear seats, and a heated steering wheel, making it the most balanced choice for comfort-focused buyers.
• Sport: This trim is for shoppers who want the XT5’s top-end presentation and are willing to pay more for it. The content points to a higher price and more aggressive positioning, but the XT5 still does not become a true performance SUV.

Safety-package features such as blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert and the Driver Assist Package are available rather than universally standard, so check each listing carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac XT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,757 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.07% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 83.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $31,160, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac XT5's resale value?

The current average of $31,407 sits slightly below last year's $32,740.

That softer pricing suggests the XT5 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number. If you purchase near the lower end of the current range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell.

The market also appears reasonably active, which can help support demand for clean, well-equipped examples. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac XT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac XT5 earned top “Good” scores in all crash test areas from IIHS, but it missed a Top Safety Pick award because of its headlights.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert, front and rear parking sensors, following distance indicator, lane-keep assist with lane-departure warning, front pedestrian braking, a vibrating safety alert seat, and a rear-seat reminder. Cadillac also offers a Driver Assist Package with adaptive cruise control, automatic seatbelt tightening during emergency braking, enhanced automatic emergency braking, and reverse automatic braking.

The XT5’s safety picture is still mixed because IIHS also gave its headlights a “Marginal” score, and testers noted that the car seat anchors were positioned near hardware that could be confusing. If safety is a top priority, you should pay close attention to the exact equipment on the vehicle you’re considering.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac XT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.07% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2023 XT5 offers plenty of the luxury experience for less money and fuss than many competitors.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,483, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $31,407 average.
• It emphasizes comfort and features more than character.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly path, especially if you can find one in good condition with the equipment you want.
