How much does the 2023 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 4.77% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 839 listings available, which gives you a decent amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.4/5 user rating and a 7.7/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers consistently praise its performance, handling, and comfort, and many also highlight the smooth ride and strong acceleration. The CT5’s stylish design and impressive technology line up with those recurring positives, while the overview points to a sedan that feels more distinctive than the usual luxury choices.

The trade-offs are real, though: Cadillac’s test-drive notes call out a lack of refinement and isolation, and cargo space is limited. That means you should view it as a style-and-driving-enjoyment pick first, especially if you want a modern-feeling luxury sedan with personality rather than maximum practicality.

Good and great deals account for 33.4% of listings, so there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction. Drivers describe it as a great value, and the feedback points to performance, handling, comfort, and a generally dependable ownership experience.

The expert notes also support that impression by emphasizing the CT5’s strong technology and well-rounded driving character. Cadillac’s cost-effectiveness commentary suggests it can make sense as a used luxury buy, especially when you compare it with pricier midsize rivals.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that a car with this much tech and performance can be more sensitive to maintenance history and prior care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still check the history report carefully, because accident-free listings are common but not guaranteed. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, interior wear, and signs of hard use. Since the CT5’s appeal depends heavily on refinement and technology, make sure the cabin, electronics, and road manners match the seller’s description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CT5-V adds a more upscale and performance-oriented feel, but the standard car is the one that best reflects the model’s core value. Base-trim equipment is more limited, so you should compare cabin materials and convenience features carefully.
• Powertrain: The CT5-V uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic. It also offers rear-wheel drive with available all-wheel drive, plus drive modes that change steering, suspension, brake feel, and shift behavior.
• Safety package: Every CT5 includes Cadillac Smart System with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights, and Buckle to Drive. Super Cruise is available through the Super Cruise 1 Package and adds hands-free driving assistance, lane-centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, a 12-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a surround-view camera.
• Infotainment: The CT5-V’s CUE system includes a 10-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, OnStar and Cadillac Connected Access with a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa Built-in, natural voice recognition, and a Bose 15-speaker premium audio system. An embedded navigation system is optional.
• Fuel efficiency: The CT5-V returns 21 mpg in combined driving.

That softer pricing suggests the CT5 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. The model’s distinctive styling and strong tech appeal should also help it stay relevant with used shoppers.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The 2023 CT5 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every CT5 has Cadillac Smart System, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, and Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights.

Super Cruise is the standout available safety and driver-assistance feature. Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 33.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 83.4% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.77% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Expert or safety highlight specific to this year from the expert review: it combines standout technology with sharp handling and a distinctive luxury-sedan personality.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,172, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $34,503 average.
• It carries over unchanged, so you’re mainly paying more for a newer model year.

The bottom line: If you want the better value, the 2023 is the smarter buy because it already reflects a softer market and still delivers the CT5’s core strengths. If you prefer a newer model year and don’t mind paying more, the 2024 is the straightforward alternative.
