Used 2023 Cadillac CT5 for Sale nearGreenville, SC

How much does the 2023 Cadillac CT5 cost?

Prices have softened 2.73% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 881 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 a good car?

Generally — the 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 4.4/5 from owners and a 7.67/10 from experts. The model scores 9/10 across Technology and Safety.

Drivers repeatedly praise its performance, handling, comfort, and powerful acceleration, and many also like the smooth ride. The CT5’s distinctive styling and strong value proposition come through in owner feedback as well.

The trade-offs are clear: the expert drive notes point to limited refinement and isolation, along with limited cargo space. In practical terms, that means you’re choosing a midsize luxury sedan that leans into personality and road feel rather than maximum hush or utility.

The CT5 fits buyers who want a stylish, engaging sedan with strong tech and a more distinctive character than many rivals. Even with those compromises, 35.4% of listings are marked as good or great deals, which suggests there’s still room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.4/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a car that feels dependable, trouble-free, and strong enough for long-term ownership, with many drivers expressing confidence in its performance and comfort over time. The expert drive notes reinforce that impression by describing the CT5 as a well-rounded luxury sedan with strong driving dynamics and approachable technology.

On the ownership side, the CT5’s maintenance and day-to-day usability look manageable rather than intimidating, especially if you prioritize a well-kept example. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is buying a neglected car with unresolved wear, so condition and service history matter a lot.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should still run a history report on every candidate, because a clean listing percentage does not replace a vehicle-specific check. Prioritize a pre-purchase inspection if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with optional tech and driver-assistance equipment. Focus on overall condition, interior wear, and whether the car’s features work as intended.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The CT5-V stands out with a sportier setup, including a twin-turbo V6, Magnetic Ride Control, and more aggressive braking hardware, while the standard CT5 is priced lower and is the better fit if you want the core sedan experience without the extra performance hardware.
• Powertrain: The CT5-V uses a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, with available all-wheel drive. It also includes Active Fuel Management and an EPA rating of 21 mpg in combined driving.
• Safety package: Every CT5 includes Cadillac Smart System with forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, and Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights. Super Cruise is available through the Super Cruise 1 Package and adds hands-free driving assistance, lane-centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, a 12-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a surround-view camera that can record around the car.
• Infotainment: The CT5-V includes a 10-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM 360L, OnStar and Cadillac Connected Access with a Wi-Fi hotspot, wireless smartphone charging, Alexa Built-in, natural voice recognition, and a Bose 15-speaker premium audio system. An embedded navigation system is optional, and a head-up display and surround-view camera are also available.
• Fuel efficiency: The CT5-V is rated at 21 mpg combined, and the test drive returned 19.5 mpg on a mountainous evaluation route.

Which 2023 Cadillac CT5 trim should I buy?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 is offered in 3 trim levels: CT5, CT5-V, CT5-V Blackwing.

Here's the short version:

• CT5: This is the entry point and the best-value choice if you want the CT5’s styling, technology, and overall character without paying for the performance-focused hardware of the higher trims.
• CT5-V: This is the sweet spot if you want the strongest balance of performance and equipment. It adds the twin-turbo V6, Magnetic Ride Control, Brembo front brakes, more driver-assistance features, and the richer tech content that makes the CT5 feel especially well equipped.
• CT5-V Blackwing: This is the top performance choice for shoppers who want the most extreme version of the CT5 lineup, with the content clearly positioned above the CT5-V.

The CT5-V also gets the more complete safety package, while the standard CT5 keeps the core Cadillac Smart System features.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 Cadillac CT5?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 881 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 84.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,860, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 Cadillac CT5's resale value?

The current average of $35,548 sits slightly below last year's $36,545.

That softer pricing trend suggests the CT5 has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale if you buy at the right price. If you shop near the lower end of the range, you may have a better chance of limiting your loss when it’s time to sell.

The model’s distinctive styling, strong tech, and solid owner satisfaction can help keep it appealing to used buyers. That matters because cars that stay desirable in the market tend to hold value better than more anonymous alternatives.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.4/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2023 Cadillac CT5 safe?

The 2023 Cadillac CT5 earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Every 2023 CT5 has the Cadillac Smart System, which includes forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic emergency braking, a vibrating Safety Alert Seat, a rear-seat reminder, rear parking sensors, and Teen Driver monitoring technology. The CT5-V adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic rear braking, front parking sensors, a safe following distance indicator, Intellibeam automatic high-beam headlights, and Buckle to Drive.

Super Cruise is available through the Super Cruise 1 Package and adds Cadillac’s hands-free driving assistance system with adaptive cruise control, lane-centering, lane-change capability, a driver monitoring camera, a 12-inch digital instrumentation panel, and a surround-view camera that can record around the car. The main caveat is that Super Cruise still requires your attention and can be confused in some lane-marking situations.

Should I buy a 2023 Cadillac CT5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 35.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 84.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.73% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.4/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.
• Expert feedback highlights strong handling, impressive technology, and a distinctive design.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $38,413, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $35,548 average.
• It carries over unchanged and remains a decent value.

The bottom line: If you want the better price and strong market selection, the 2023 is the smarter buy. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer model year, the 2024 is the cleaner alternative, but price-sensitive shoppers should start with the 2023 and focus on condition, equipment, and deal quality.
