Used 2023 BMW i7 for Sale nearSalinas, CA

How much does the 2023 BMW i7 cost?

Prices have softened 11.79% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 275 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW i7 a good car?

The 2023 BMW i7 earns an expert rating of 7/10.

The standout strength is Technology at 9/10.

You’re looking at a flagship electric sedan that blends traditional luxury-sedan comfort with EV appeal, and the data backs that up with strong marks for performance, technology, and ride quality. The trade-offs are clear: the design may not be for everyone, cargo space is limited, and advanced safety features are not standard.

That makes the i7 a strong fit if you want a high-end electric sedan with BMW character and a familiar flagship feel, rather than a ground-up EV that prioritizes maximum practicality. The market also shows 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW i7 reliable?

The 2023 BMW i7 is presented as a conventional luxury flagship with an electric powertrain, and its launch-year setup leans on BMW’s established sedan formula rather than an experimental EV layout. The performance notes point to a well-developed chassis and powertrain package, with adaptive suspension, rear-wheel steering, and active roll stabilization helping the car feel composed and stable.

BMW also includes an 11-kilowatt onboard charger, three years of fast charging on the Electrify America network, and an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty, which helps reduce some ownership uncertainty for an EV buyer. For used shoppers, the main long-term risk is that battery condition, charging habits, and repair costs matter more than they do on a conventional sedan, so you’ll want to verify how the car was charged and maintained.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW i7?

Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

You should still run a history report and prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially on a luxury EV where electronics, charging behavior, and suspension components can matter a lot. Focus on overall condition, signs of heavy use, and whether the car’s features and charging setup match how you plan to use it.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The launch model is the xDrive60, and it comes with the i7’s core luxury-sedan character, but advanced safety features are not standard.
• Powertrain: The standard setup is a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 536 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque, and BMW quotes a 4.9-second zero-to-60 time.
• Safety package: The standard setup includes forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, while the Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Highway Assistant with hands-free driving on divided highways at speeds up to 80 mph, plus a driver-facing camera.
• Infotainment: You get the BMW Curved Display with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 14.9-inch touchscreen, plus wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and OTA software updates.
• Range & charging: The i7 reaches up to 318 miles of EPA range, uses a 105.7-kWh battery pack, and can DC fast charge from 10% to 80% in about 34 minutes.
• Battery health: Check battery state-of-health, ask how often the car was DC fast charged versus charged at home, and confirm how much of the battery warranty remains so you know what protection you still have.

Which 2023 BMW i7 trim should I buy?

The 2023 BMW i7 is offered in 1 trim level: xDrive60.

Here's the short version:

The xDrive60 is the trim to focus on because it’s the launch version and the only one explicitly identified here. It gives you the i7’s full flagship experience, including the dual-motor AWD powertrain, strong tech suite, and the comfort-oriented chassis tuning that defines the car. If you want the best-value path into the model, this is the one to shop first.

The safety package note is simple: advanced driver-assistance features are not standard, so if hands-free highway driving or automated parking matters to you, look for a car equipped with the relevant option packages.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW i7?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 275 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.79% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 92.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $60,822, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW i7's resale value?

The current average of $60,822 sits slightly below last year's $68,954.

That price movement suggests the i7 has already absorbed a meaningful amount of early depreciation, which can help you as a used buyer. If you plan to resell later, the flip side is that a luxury EV with a high original price and limited practicality may continue to face value pressure compared with more mainstream alternatives.

For you, that means the best resale protection will come from buying the right car up front: a clean history, strong battery health, and desirable equipment. A well-kept example should be easier to move later than one with missing options or questionable charging history.

Is the 2023 BMW i7 safe?

The i7 comes standard with basic driver-assist tech like forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking, but the standout features are extra-cost options.

The Driving Assistance Professional Package adds Highway Assistant, which BMW says enables hands-free driving on divided highways at speeds up to 80 mph. The optional Parking Assistant Professional system can also handle parking for you and includes Reversing Assistant, which can retrace a path out of a parking space.

It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

Because advanced safety features are not standard, you should verify exactly which driver-assistance packages are installed on any used example you’re considering. The i7’s size and tall hood can also make parking more challenging, so the parking-assist option is worth paying attention to if you’ll use the car in tight spaces.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW i7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is excellent at 92.7% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.79% compared with last year.
• The 2023 BMW i7 is the first all-electric version of BMW’s flagship 7 Series, and the expert review highlights strong handling, comfort, and technology.

The bottom line: The 2023 i7 makes the most sense if you want the first-year electric flagship experience and you value BMW’s traditional luxury-sedan feel. If you’re more price-sensitive, it’s worth shopping carefully for the cleanest, best-equipped example rather than stretching for a newer alternative.
