How much does the 2023 BMW X6 cost?

Prices have softened 12.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 524 listings available, which gives you a meaningful amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X6 a good car?

The 2023 BMW X6 stands out because it blends the practicality of a midsize luxury SUV with the lower, more dramatic shape of a crossover coupe. In BMW’s own terms, the X6 adds a sportier feel than the mechanically similar X5 by pairing the same technology, interiors, and options with more aggressive hardware and styling.

For 2023, that means a lowered stance, a sleeker roofline, huge wheels, and a more assertive body kit, along with a wider grille and other exterior details that emphasize its performance-oriented character. Standard equipment is generous, including a panoramic moonroof, two 12.3-inch displays, navigation, adaptive LED headlights, blind-spot monitors, forward emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and heated front seats.

The tradeoff is that BMW’s own buying guide notes poor cargo space and poor fuel economy, so you should view it as a style-forward luxury crossover rather than a maximum-utility SUV. With 38.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, the market gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X6 reliable?

The 2023 BMW X6 is presented as a well-equipped luxury SUV with a strong mix of power and hardware, including a six-cylinder model rated at 335 horsepower and 330 pound-feet. It also offers useful upgrades such as adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, four-corner air suspension on all-wheel-drive trims, and a towing capacity of 7,200 pounds.

That combination points to a sophisticated vehicle with a lot of systems working together, so long-term ownership risk for used buyers is best managed by focusing on maintenance history and overall condition before you commit.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X6?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that checks the suspension, electronics, and any optional equipment the vehicle has. Because this model leans heavily on luxury and performance hardware, condition matters as much as mileage, so focus on service records, tire wear, brake condition, and signs of prior bodywork.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X6?

This looks like a moderate market where you can be selective, but you still need to move quickly on the right listing.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 524 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 86.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,611, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X6's resale value?

The current average of $50,611 sits slightly below last year's $58,162.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper future resale upside if you own the vehicle for only a short period. If you plan to keep it longer, the current pricing can make the entry point more attractive, especially if you buy near the lower end of the range. For a future seller, the key will be how well the vehicle is maintained and how much demand remains for its style-driven niche.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 86.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.98% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2023 is a strong choice if you want the X6’s distinctive styling, generous standard equipment, and a market that currently favors shoppers more than sellers. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby model years to see whether a similar configuration lands at a lower entry price, but the 2023 already offers a compelling mix of value and availability.
