Used 2023 BMW X5 for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2023 BMW X5 cost?

Prices have softened 14.38% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,520 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X5 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which supports its appeal as a luxury midsize SUV with a driving-focused identity. The overview points to a rear-wheel-drive platform, available inline-six and V8 power, xDrive all-wheel drive, generous cargo space, and outstanding visibility, so you get a mix of refinement and everyday practicality. It is also positioned as a family-friendly two-row SUV, though it is not intended for serious off-road use. 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X5 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview suggests newer X5s have improved reliability, which is encouraging if you want a used luxury SUV with a stronger ownership profile than older versions. Even so, the model can still be costly to own, especially if you choose a V8-powered example or one that is not fuel-efficient. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is higher maintenance and operating costs as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X5?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, and deferred maintenance. Pay close attention to overall condition, because luxury SUVs can hide expensive issues behind a clean appearance. If you are considering larger wheels or performance tires, inspect them carefully since they can affect ride quality and trail capability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X5?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer's market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,520 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.38% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $40,219, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X5's resale value?

The current average of $40,233 sits slightly below last year's $46,991.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer current pricing means resale gains may be harder to realize quickly unless the vehicle is especially well kept and well equipped. Strong condition and a clean history should matter more if you want to protect value over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X5 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 37.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.1% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 14.38% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $50,500, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $40,233 average.
• It adds a plug-in hybrid option with about 40 miles of electric-only range.

The bottom line: You should start with the 2023 if you want the stronger value proposition and a broad set of listings to compare. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model with plug-in hybrid capability, the 2024 is the better upgrade path. For price-sensitive buyers, the 2023 is the smarter place to shop first.
