How much does the 2023 BMW X3 cost?

Prices have softened 8.00% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 4,339 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2023 BMW X3 a good car?

Yes — the 2023 BMW X3 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. It stands out as a compact luxury SUV that emphasizes driving enjoyment without giving up everyday usefulness, with sharp handling, strong steering feedback, a premium interior, and modern technology. It also works well if you want a family-friendly SUV, since it offers lots of rear-seat legroom and plenty of cargo space. The market also shows 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2023 BMW X3 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2023 BMW X3 is described as a premium vehicle with a high-quality cabin and technology that was state-of-the-art when it was made. It also has the higher maintenance and repair costs typical of premium vehicles, so ownership can be more expensive than with non-luxury alternatives.

For used buyers, that means reliability should be weighed alongside expected upkeep costs, especially if you plan to keep the vehicle for the long term.

What should I look for when buying a used 2023 BMW X3?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a careful inspection of the vehicle’s condition and maintenance records. Pay close attention to signs of prior damage, since a clean history can make a meaningful difference in long-term ownership confidence. It also makes sense to evaluate the cabin, cargo area, and electronics closely, because this model’s appeal depends heavily on its premium feel and everyday usability.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2023 BMW X3?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 4,339 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.00% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 89.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $33,173, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2023 BMW X3's resale value?

The current average of $33,173 sits slightly below last year's $36,058.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more efficiently today but may also temper near-term resale upside. If you plan to sell later, the current discount from last year’s level means your future value will depend heavily on how well the vehicle is maintained and how clean its history remains. Strong condition and a well-documented ownership record should help you stand out when it’s time to list.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 BMW X3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 38.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 89.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.00% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $27,888, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $33,173 average.
• The refreshed 2022 brings a substantial update with more technology and safety features.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest mix of current-market value, broad inventory, and high owner satisfaction, the 2023 is the better starting point. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2022 is the more budget-friendly alternative and still offers a compelling package.
